Loved it!

Everything! Location super-central. Our attic room was perfect, squeaky-clean with gorgeous green-tiled, heated floor bathroom. Gerlóczy‘s atmospheric surroundings and Parisian decor. Handy elevator, but also fantastic spiral staircase that accessed all floors. Added the breakfast option to room which generously included all breakfast items on menu—delicious and beautifully-plated! But what really made our stay extra great was all the friendly and helpful staff: from Sonja at the front desk who spent much time helping us with deciding what sights to visit, Mehti in the restaurant, and another employee at the front desk who offered to lend us his own umbrella on a rainy day when all the hotel’s stock had already been borrowed. We sadly didn’t get the names of everyone to give a special shout-out, but they all added to the charm of this hotel. Will definitely rebook our next trip to Budapest!

I started working right away after I returned, so I couldn't find a time to leave a review up until today. Hotel Gerloczy had everything you would wish from an ideal hotel -- absolutely beautiful, clean, warm room, great location, and even a top-notch restaurant on the ground floor. But what distinguishes Gerloczy even further is their genuine welcome and professional service. The staffs truly made me feel cherished and included throughout the whole stay, not just as a stranger or simply a customer. One day, I will visit Budapest again solely for Hotel Gerloczy. It really is a special stay, I can't recommend you more. Last but not least, extra thanks to Szonja for her kindness. Until we meet again!

Outstanding room, beautiful hotel, brilliantly located. The restaurant downstairs was absolute class, the staff lovely. A perfect 10 from me.

Greeting at reception was friendly and wecolming with fast check in. Room well presented. We used the restaurant and had an excellent meal. Only downside was some noise from building work nearby which is typical is most city hotels at some poiint. Location very good for explorering the city. Would happy stay there again if in Budapest again.

Great location. Quiet at night. Beautiful building. Rooms were very nice. Heated bathroom floor (Dec is cold). Be sure your room has a shower, if you heed it. Restaurant was great. Excellent selection and portions. Staff very friendly, especially the front desk!!

The Gerloczy Hotel is a gem. We selected to stay there based on the reviews and we are really happy that we did. It has a great location. It is close to the busy areas but not on a busy street. The room is very clean, a decent size, with good amenities and comfortable furniture—especially the bed. The shower is large and has great water pressure. We liked that there was restaurant in the hotel. Besides daily breakfasts, we ate twice at the restaurant during our five days there. We highly recommend the Gerloczy Hotel and would stay there again.

Boutique hotel in a great location with easy access to the Danube, public transport and sightseeing red bus stop 13. Set in a small courtyard with indoor and outdoor seating. Amazing local restaurant which serves good quality unlimited waiter served breakfast, off the menu. Open all day and evening. The staff are friendly and work extremely hard. I’ve stayed in many 5* hotels around the world and this small hotel with a beautiful staircase, rustic Hungarian charm is there at the top. Remember this is a European hotel with a super comfortable clean bed, enough water pressure with plenty of hot water. Windows that open to let fresh air in! 24 hour Reception very helpful. Slight disruption from noise outside on a Friday evening but wouldn’t put me off staying again. Great for a short stay or business trip to see this historic city.
