We were given a wonderful welcome by the family that owns the hotel. How nice! The rooms are dated but roomy and adequate. We enjoyed breakfast and the location as well as the terrace on the property.

Excellent location and a warm and welcoming staff.

Staff was great and very helpful. Gave good recommendations for restaurants and detailed the sites on the map. Charming place set back from the main road but centrally located.

Good location convenient to all sites, places to eat, shopping. Room looks very neat. However, I had 3 insect bites when I woke up the next day.

Conveniently placed in central Assisi, but check the room you’re offered has a view from the window. Also check the A/C isn’t making a noise when allegedly turned off. And i wish you a room in which you can’t hear others in their bathrooms.

An amazing treasure near the central square of Assisi. The views from the porch were amazing. The staff made great suggestions for where to eat, getting to sites, and arranging to a taxi to the train station.

This property was in the perfect location. We loved the walkability of Assisi. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast each morning was a nice touch. Highly recommend.

This hotel is so charming! My daughter and I stayed here for one night on a pilgrimage to St. Francis' Assisi. The location was great, right in the center of the town, walking distance from everything. The room was charming and spacious and contained all of the modern facilities that we needed. The included breakfast was elegant and with many options. The setting and outdoor courtyard was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Umbra is a wonderful gem of a hotel, run by a family that cares about the property and its guests. The rooms were lovely, and they have many terraces for guests to sit on and overlook the Assisi country side. I would certainly stay there again.
