Car parking, swimming pool, helpful staff

The bathroom was dirty. Ingrained dirt on bathroom panel. After being told it would be OK to use spa after checkout, on checkout rhe manager said No.

I loved the pool area it was really nice and good to see the pool being cleaned overnight. it would be good if there was a bar of soap provided as it’s tricky having a bath when the squeeze shower gel is high at shower level. The shower was a bit dodgy as it squirted water upwards and bounced off the ceiling but I did report it. The rooms were nice and we had a great fan to keep us cool. nice tea and coffee with decaf too. The only bit that was frustrating was that the people came to collect the dirty washing or something at 6am which was really noisy each morning. The lady on reception was lovely. I didn’t anticipate being asked to pay for parking though which was a bit of a surprise. Breakfast was good with a nice cooked breakfast and yoghurt cereal juice etc. I heard people asking for porridge and someone was offered pancakes so it would have been nice if we had been offered this too.

The staff were pleasant and the pool area was OK. Location of the hotel was good. However on the second floor the decor was in need of a lot of improvement. The carpet was threadbare in places; the corridor and our room 223 had paint flaking off in places; the curtains were in need of replacement and were tattily drawn which looked a mess. The bathroom only had one narrow shelf above the toilet which meant there was nowhere to put your toiletries. Finally thought paying £10 per night for car parking was exorbitant.

My room was dirty a sea spider in my bed and toothpaste all over my bathroom sink and hairs as lf it hadn’t even been cleaned, yellow stains and hard bits of strange dirt was on my towels, the the parking was an extra charge I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a comfortable,clean night away

Room is clean, but no bedside socket which is not convenient for guests. No enough socket at wall side for guests in room. No bath lotion and shampoo supply in bathroom.

We were given an accessible room, no AC but the reception kindly provided us with fans and ice. The duvets were very thick for the time of the year. The pool closing time is way too early, maybe consider pushing it to 8pm.

Aging premises and rooms small and no air conditioning

The premises itself is okay. The pool is very nice. Hotel is terribly let down by the quality of the staff. They need to be sent on a 6 month customer service training course. The only decent staff member was the chap at the swimming pool.

Lovely staff, ideal location, close to eateries. Room well kept bur maybe towels etc need an update, but overall lovely. Parking only free if booked direct, but £10 reasonable and plenty spaces. Will defo stay again. Lots of lovely quirky spaces to chill.

A good base for Snowdonia trips. Nice facilities, great staff.

Very nice hotel that I will return to on my next visit to Caernarfon. Lots of on site parking, and very friendly and helpful staff on reception. I arrived at the same time as a coach party, but the reception staff made sure I didn't have to wait. The room was very clean with lots of space and a good sized clean bathroom. It took a while to work out the light switches to turn on the bathroom light without all the other lights, but not a huge problem. Excellent hotel that I would recommend to friends and family.

Hotel looking very tired. 3 black bin bags and a broken cup remained in the corridor for 2 days and was still there when I left. Booked a double room but was given one with 3 beds, window didn’t open. Nowhere to put any wash bags etc in the bathroom. Bed was comfy and food was ok. Be aware if you book to stay via a third party app like Expedia, the hotel will charge you £10 per night to park in the car park

The Leisure facilities were pretty good. The staircase is very impressive and the general hotel is lovely. I feel that the standard rooms are fairly tired especially for the high price we paid. Overall, a good stay but a little expensive for what it was.

Location was great and the room was enormous. Very generous draws and furniture and they went for a mid-century look but it felt like it came from an op shop. The shower was over the bath and would be difficult for an older person. Little by way of shelving in the bathroom. Walls were marked and in some places the carpet worn. While there is a lift there are stairs up and down on each level to get to your room. The curtains were well short of blackout. Overall at 3 star hotel at a 4 star price. Would not go back.

Hotel reception is good. Hotel room is not good because smells and very poor maintenance windows curtains and water taps not working properly.

Hotel charges £10 extra to park which wasn’t evident in any communications prior to arrival. On arrival reception insisted we only had the family room booked for 2 people. After insisting I had booked it for 4 people they discovered that it was an error on their systems. Room decor was very dated and worn, toilet cistern leaked, room was incredibly hot, could hear every move of the room/people above - creaking floors, bed and even flushing toilet. On top of that noise from some generator outside our room. Ordered 4 meals for dinner and after 45 minutes only 3 arrived, again an issue with systems, 4th meal arrived after we finished eating with a free drink as an apology. Hotel pool was a plus. We were required to provide a time to attend breakfast the night before although it was buffet style and the restaurant was barely 10% full - I don’t really what to be held to a schedule on holiday. Despite there being a pool I definitely wouldn’t stay there again. A good quiet night sleep is worth a lot more than a swim!

Large and comfortable room in the heart of the city - close to castle, grocery and restaurants. Beds and shower were very good and room had a large sitting area.
