Positive points: The staff is really helpful! And very professional! The ladies from the SPA were amazing and very helpful and the security guys at the entrance also! (A big thanks to them) Negative points: My stay was disrupted due to a very noisy neighboring guest. There was loud music during the night, and shouting in the hallway. Unfortunately, when I reported the issue and asked for assistance, I was told that no immediate solution could be provided. As a result, I had to change rooms myself, which was quite disappointing !! Things to be improved: (immediately) The cleanliness is terrible! The carpet needs to be cleaned. I believe it has never been properly cleaned, as there are visible dirt marks and a lot of dust. The bathroom, especially the bathtub, should be cleaned every day. The restaurant café / bar area also needs thorough cleaning, including the carpet and the chairs. There is a strong smell of cigarettes, and the air should be disinfected or properly ventilated, as many people smoke and it affects the overall atmosphere. Additionally, in the hallway leading to the rooms, even though the floor is designated as non-smoking, there is cigarette smoke everywhere. Sometimes the smoke even enters the rooms, which is very uncomfortable. The gym is tiny and poorly equipped ! With one big machine and light dumbbells (a 2 stars hotel gym to be honest)

Ac was not working in our room. Front desk said they would send a technician but they never did. Other than that the facility was okay! I wouldn’t say it should be a 5 start I would give it a 4 or 3 star. Breakfast had some weird selections, wasn’t very edible.

I had booked a week-long stay at this hotel, but due to unforeseen changes in my travel plans, I requested to reschedule my reservation for a later date. Unfortunately, the hotel refused my request and also declined to issue a refund. This lack of flexibility and customer service has been very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel for travelers seeking considerate and accommodating service

The staff at the hotel went over and above international standards to make our stay an unforgettable experience. The hotel offers a soft ambience set in luxury with a old world charm that is truly unique. I would highly recommend this hotel above all other hotels in Oran.

An absolute gem! This was our first time staying at this gorgeous property, and everything exceeded our expectation. When we visit again, we will be sure to stay at the Royal Hotel Oran.

Not the best hotel but very convenient location

Compared to other hotels in Algeria this one is very good, even the best we have had in three weeks. In Algiers we have been to much more expensive places that could not compete with this hotel.

Stayed there between 14th-21st September 2015. I was picked up from the airport on time and I got to the hotel within twenty minutes or so. I had a lovely room on the fourth floor (415), with a large balcony, view over the boulevard and a great sea view. You can see "front mer". The room mini bar was replenished every day with soft drinks, fizzy and non fizzy water. I greatly appreciated the welcome gesture of a miniature mouse/cookies when I got back to my room, on the day of arrival. The hotel location is perfect for sightseeing, walking distance to various sought after places. I was born in Oran and I've never stayed in a hotel there before, because I have family near by but I have enjoyed my own space, the peace and quiet after a busy day. The hotel offers a large selection of breakfast items, cooked fresh to order. I must say that I stayed in various hotels both in Europe and USA and I must say this hotel focus was not getting you to pay for every little extra things. You can sit at the bar and enjoy an expresso, at no extra charge during your breakfast time. I had by breakfast delivered to my room again at no extra charge. I would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is amazing! So beautiful and elegant! The whole hotel is like a boutique hotel, very well furnished and decorated with such a fine taste! It is really special. The breakfast was just delicious, everything was fresh and a great verity of fruits, pastries and bread. Staff at breakfast was helpful and nice. Honestly, if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Oran, this is the one and only!! I loved it!!

Overall was nice and i'l book that again in the future. Hamam was not able to book that byt anyway

Je n’ai absolument rien à redire sur l’hôtel et le personnel, qui a été accueillant et agréable. L’hôtel proposait un petit-déjeuner nickel, c’est un très bel établissement avec une très belle architecture et de jolis tableaux, situé au sein du centre-ville d’Oran. En revanche, je déconseille fortement d’effectuer votre réservation via la plateforme Hotels.com. À mon arrivée, j’ai eu la désagréable surprise de constater qu’après un long séjour dans le désert avec mes deux enfants, mon époux et tous nos bagages, la réception ne disposait que d’une seule réservation à notre nom, pour une seule chambre au lieu de deux. L’enfer a alors commencé : j’ai dû contacter la plateforme Hotels.com depuis mon forfait personnel, et rien que pour les joindre, c’était déjà un parcours du combattant. Après une demi-heure en ligne, hors forfait, je tombe sur une interlocutrice chez Hotels.com qui me déclare qu’elle n’est « pas magicienne » pour me reloger sur Oran. Une blague ! Connaissez-vous Oran ? Nous étions en fin de journée… Elle m’indique qu’elle n’arrive pas à joindre l’hôtel. J’avais pourtant le monsieur de la réception en face de moi et je lui ai proposé de lui passer l’appel, refus. Je lui explique que je ne suis pas responsable de cette situation : j’ai payé 500 € et me retrouve avec une seule chambre parce que Hotels.com n’a pas correctement transmis ma réservation de deux chambres communicantes.
