On entering our room, one of the curtains was hanging off the runner. We booked a family room with a queen bed to sleep 4.When I made the reservation I made it quite clear it was for 3 adults and the booking was accepted. However, they brought in a cot (fold up bed) being the third bed which when my son sat on, collapsed. There were slats missing. When reported to reception was told it was for a child. They knew we had a party of 3 adults and charged a supplement of 15 euros night for the third person, even though I paid for a family room. I asked them to separate the queen bed and with the single bed gave us the number of beds we needed, and booked for. We were up in the eaves, the carpet needed cleaning, no smoke alarm in the room, no fan or window in the bathroom. Only two sets of towels and repeatedly had to ask for the third set. Then to cap it all after paying the bill received a message that they had debited a further amount on my friends card, who did not give authority to do so. I had to give card details when I booked. I paid my bill with cash. The message said there was a problem with my bill, not that they had made an error.

Staff were great, room was good. Hotel was having a small renovation, guessing why the cost was what it was. Great location

Food was absolutely exceptional. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel was situated at the edge of town, so perfect location, reception staff very helpful, bed was comfy, rooms looking abit tired but ok for price, no secure parking at hotel, but free public parking near-by..we did not use the restaurant, but was very busy so presumably it is good

Our stay was at the Hôtel Ô Gayot was very enjoyable and relaxing, the rooms are comfortable but basic. Food and service was very good and all the staff were very friendly even during this difficult time we felt very welcomed.

I recently stayed at O Gayot for the second time in 3 months. Once again, I was staying here on a Thursday night when the restaurant is closed and reception closes at 17.00hrs. La patronne was good enough to phone me one week in advance of my stay, to inform me of the above. My room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean everything was in order. I did find the over bath mixer tap for the shower, very difficult to operate. It was of an unusual design and some instructions would have helped. I would recommend the O Gayot to anyone looking for a pleasant hotel in Bagnoles-de-l'Orne.

Excellent hotel for the price - great breakfast (actually incredible!) and a really spacious comfortable room. Also - what an incredible meal we had in the hotel! All over a great experience!

Great stop over. Have stayed here 3 times now. Hotel is situated in a very vibrant and not too busy spa town. only 2 stars but ideal for a stop over. Restaurant and food good also

Great place in the village of Bagnoles de l'Orne, with a very nice restaurant, efficient and nice staff and a nice atmospher !

We arrived about 5pm on Bastille day having driven from Caen WE had a lovely meal at the hotel and then walked down to the lake for the firework show. There were hundreds of people eating on the pavement cafes and a wonderful atmosphere.

What a great hotel. Just a few hundred metres from the town centre . A very quirky hotel but in a great way . There is a shop attatched to the bar , and the bar looks like a beach hut ! . The rooms are very well decorated and spotlessly clean . The actual town is a treasure . A great stop over location with plenty of bars and restaurants . We would Definatly stay there again.
