Service was not accommodating

It was in the heart of the blackbforest. Great amenities including pool whirlpoopband sauna

Not enough selection in the restaurant for evening meal.Choice would be 4 out of 10

While the hotel itself was lovely, the food delicious and the staff helpful and friendly the hotel does not have air conditioning. We unfortunately stayed there one of the hottest days of the year and slept poorly due to the heat, even with all the windows open.

Wonderful, very quiet resort style hotel but with local feel . Largest and best equipped gym I have come across in Germany and good pool .

I stayed at this hotel because it was close to the medical clinic that I was going to everyday for a week. The staff was friendly and my room was quiet and comfortable.

The Algau Resort has clean modern rooms with good gym facilities and a pool. The restaurant serves good German food and the service was great. It also has plenty of parking and there are walking trails in the nearby woods. This is the ideal place for a quiet relaxing stay.

Very nice location...good fitness center... excellent food

+ overall clean + quiet + big room - few space at the entrance with bath/entrance/shelf doors fighting with each other - dark rooms (just like most hotel rooms, seems to be a standard nowadays) not light enough to work with the documents in any place of the room ? did not find temperature regulator on the 1st day, default setting was pretty cold. From day 2 onward no complaints about that ++ size of shower cubicle + light toilets - shower cubicle has no door, some water always goes out - cold toilets ++ sauna with pool and wirlpool - sauna announced until 22, but at 21:15 only a bit warm ? the "light sauna" was under maintenance - charged extra 5 EUR / night for Breakfast - charged extra 5 EUR / night for garage - reception people too busy: forgot to call me back, forgot to reserve me requested treatment - asked an iron in my room, was said no problem, please come over to pick it up... hmm ok this is 1st time in Helios as I need to dress on and come down to pick up an iron myself (desk is not available). As I came there I found 4(!) personal people, 2 getting bored at the counter, another 2 watching sports on TV. + breakfast is good, free buffet with a little bit of everything including cheeses, salami, sausages, eggs in different form, cereals, baked stuff. A bit slow coffee machine causes a small queue at it, but is not disturbing +/- salad for EUR 19 was ok. Tasty, big, but nothing special. + good selection of wines

The HELIOS Algau Resort has lovely modern rooms with good facilities such as a gym, sauna and pool. There are lots of walking and hiking trails through the woods and the small town centre is just a few minutes walk, where there are some nice bars and restaurants. The hotel restaurant serves good quality traditional German food and has a good choice for breakfast.

When they say resort, it definitely delivered on that promise. The hotel is grand from the moment you see it while traveling down the long driveway. This continues into their large lobby and thoughtful decor. The hotel offers a great restaurant, bar, conference rooms, walking paths, fountain/outside sitting areas, and a magnificent spa. Be sure to spend some time in their offering of a pool, hot tub, steam room, ice bath, tanning beds, or the enormous sauna. The rooms were modern, well appointed, and clean. Check-in/out was easy and hassle-free. We took the option to park in the garage in the basement of the hotel. I wish we could have stayed here longer.

Hotel was nice and clean and the service was good. Gym was great

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Only real problem is it is situated in the middle of a hospital / medical facility which is a little strange. This put us off going for a walk into the lovely town near the hotel as when we got to the hotel in the afternoon there where some interesting individuals stood outside some of the medical facilities. Also the day we were there the bar was closed so we had to order drinks from reception and they would bring them to where ever you wanted them, again a little strange.

The hotel was very clean and modern with an excellent restaurant, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Dear Hotels.com we choose this hotel because we need a swimming pool for exercise and the five days we stay the swimming pool is under repair. Can we have a discount on this booking. I have written Hotel Allgau many times to make sure they have the swimming pool open, and they answered the swimming pool is opened.

the receptionlist does not know any restuarant to recommend because he is a vegetarian. This is a rural area hotel so do not expect much from this hotel. Wifi is very slow. Swimming pool is good and steam bath is good

We need to be in Bad Gronenbach, and we choose this hotel becasue they have a swimming pool. Swimming pool is good and clean with steam bath and sauna. Bad Gronenbach is a small town and not much choice for food. It is a quiet town. Hotel service is minimum, room is spacious but room not clean kind of run down, rooms need a facelift
