This is a lovely Riyad in the Medina of Marrakech and a perfect mix of luxury and comfort. I stayed mostly to experience the hammam and spa services which were absolutely incredible. The riyad itself is beautiful, with a lovely courtyard and rooftop. The only downside was the location, its not accessible by car since its in the madina and you have to pass multiple alley ways to find the entrance. It's impossible to find without help, so make sure to contact the staff in advance so they can meet you and help with your luggage. Overall, i had a lovely stay and would recommend the riyad for anyone looking for a luxury and comfortable stay in Marrakech.

I recently stayed at this so-called "architectural jewel” in the historical district of Medina in Marrakech Morocco which claims to be a converted 18th-century palace. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what the photos and website led me to expect. This property is outdated and in dire need of renovations. The pictures on the hotel’s website are highly misleading, and some of them do not even represent the actual property, giving a false illusion of luxury and ambiance. One of the most frustrating issues was with the heating. Every night, the heat in my room did not work, leaving the space cold and uncomfortable. When I expressed my concerns about the cold room, a space heater was provided, but only after considerable inconvenience. Each time I left the room, the heater was removed, and I had to ask for it again. It wasn’t until my final night that a technician came to repair the heating system, but by then, it was too late to make a difference. The hotel is located in a narrow, dreary alleyway, beneath what seemed like a tunnel or dungeon. It’s not accessible by vehicle, which wasn’t made clear before my arrival. This made carrying luggage or returning to the hotel particularly difficult, especially since you have to climb 25 steep stairs just to reach the room. There are no phones in the rooms and no way to reach the staff without walking down the stairs to make a request. The staff never answered the phone when I called from my cell phone, nor responded to email

The Riad is so beautiful with quality appointments throughout . My wife did the cooking class with the chef and loved it. Finding it at night can be tricky but it’s a jewel worth seeing.

Me and my partner had a lovely time here. The Riad itself is truly a beautiful gem and the location is very central for the Medina. It is though slightly off the beaten path to get to, down back alleys but the value for money of the quality of the property once you get past this is great. The staff were very happy to help and the manager Sylvia was a delightful eccentric. I would recommend booking your own excursions in advance of going as the hotel ones are quite expensive. Though we did book through them the walking tour for our first morning which was a good orientation. The guide collects you from the hotel and takes you around. The airport transfer is more expensive than taxi from the airport but without this the Road would be very hard to find. We found the property to be very clean and well kept in consideration that is a 18th century Riad in a market, not a best western in Milwaukee. I would say the Riad is a strong 4* experience and considering the price point this is appropriate. We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel could improve in some aspects to be a truly stunning 5* but this would carry with it added costs that would have taken it beyond our budget for this trip so we were very happy! I have seen some other negative comments regarding the Riad with certain things picked up as negative, if you are precious and are expecting a $2000 a night experience then I am afraid you will have to pay for this.

Ancient 12 century property - from the main road you walk thru narrow tunnel to get to the “guest house” No access to a car or door to door service - someone has to drag your luggage to the place, which can be long….

This riad was beautiful and quiet in a very busy town. Although it’s hard to find down small alleys it is well worth it !

The smell of Mould and aromatic candles / perfume was very strong in our room and spoilt our stay. We opened the doors and windows as soon as we entered the room but this did little to dissipate the odour. We also found the music in the communal areas annoying. We would highly recommend that you use the car service provided by the hotel. The tunnel is intimidating on arriving but you soon get use to it and this adds to the experience. The breakfast was really nice. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the roof terrace is great. If you book with Expedia they do not make it clear that there is a tourist tax to be paid in cash on checking out.

We stayed for 3 nights and the look of the Riad was great except for the tunnel you have to go through to get there but we used Nadir House hotel as a way to always find the tunnel to get to the Riad as that can be very difficult. Service from the waiter who works at the Riad was great throughout our stay and he helped us whenever needed which was a plus. Positives - within 5 - 15 mins walk to the main souks and Jem Al Fna Negatives - Restaurant was ridiculously overpriced and dinner was not cooked on the inside so wouldn't recommend at all. Pool really needs a clean, since it had a terrible smell when we were there. All in all it was fine for our stay.

This is a really lovely Riad, with a decent spa and lovely staff. It’s a gorgeous hidden away gem really and the room and bathroom were really excellent. Good aircon, and plenty of towels. The swimming pool is very small and not very private but the roof terrace is heaven for sun worshippers. The main issue is safety in the surrounding area. I was surrounded by 5 young men one of whom had a knife and they wanted money. I screamed for help and a local shopkeeper scared them away. I strongly suggest not being white and blonde and going out there alone. I eventually managed to get out with a guide then the City was of course much safer and beautiful. I can’t blame the hotel for this, but you need to know how to look after yourself in this area. The hotel were marvellous when I told them and called for police reinforcements which were highly visible. I don’t blame them for these people’s awful behaviour, and I still think that the hotel is fabulous and fantastic value for money and safe if you know what you’re doing, which I probably didn’t!

I have no words. It is in deep dangers and harassing environment. Pls don’t stay in old city, you will get harassed, abused and insulted by every locals. Safe your money and stay outside old town in big high end resort. First of all, good luck finding this place. The Taxis will drop you far away and you need a Miracle to find place bu going thru dark allies and lots locals try to milk you, if you don’t get miss guided by locals to dark ally and ask for money. When i explain that to owner . She simply replyed, sorry there is no police in Morroco!! When you stay in this Reid, get ready to order lunch and dinner and drink, if they found out you eat outside food or bring any food and drink, they simply make u uncomfortable and tell you we have lincence for food and drink and she will give you a book of all the Policy laws. Where is the Police while i was getting fiscally abused by locals???? I had to canceled my last 4 days and move out this place. Pls , for your safety avoid this place and just go maybe for a half day experience. I hope this gives you guys enough heads up. And who ever said Morroco is safe, it is absolutely wrong. Lots of theifs, avoid just for ur safty and i am sure you worked hard to save Money. Don’t wasted. Lets get government to fix this issues. And make sure you update you ambassy of your government about unsafe Morroca. If you rich enough to have a 24/7 guid and driver and stay in expensive Resort than you will be fine. Godbless you all

The hotel is located in a dark alley and I was terrified at night. Rooms are cold and there was no heating (other Riads have heaters) what was worse was lack of hot water which was just awful. For the way to the hotel see my IG traveljojostyle28 in my Morocco story
