Close to shops, quiet.

Clean Pleasent staff Handy to shops

Comfortable and tidy room with good facilities. An excellent base in Hokitika. Close to town and shops etc.

We had a comfortable night at Bella Vista Motel Hokitika. We were especially grateful to the hotel staff who helped accommodate / coordinate our unexpected late check-in, and made our hectic day end on a high note! Everything went so smoothly and we enjoyed our stay.

We mainly chose this hotel because there is "secure" bike storage for our valuable e-bikes only to find that the bike storage is left unlocked throughout the day. Maybe a code lock on the bike storage would be a better option? A few years ago, this would have been a really nice place to stay but unfortunately the noise from the roads and the campervan site next door made sleep very difficult. We would not book again.

Nice motel, lovely manager, close to the centre but sadly the other occupants were so noisy, both at night and at 7am!!! Also no air con!

Pretty average stay. The room is a bit old and basic, but all the amenities are there and it is just a short walk to the center of down for dining or the beach.
