I initially booked a two-night stay at The Westin Xian but ended up leaving early and I’m glad I did. While the hotel has potential, it feels dated and poorly maintained. We reserved a large one-bedroom suite but were given a lower-floor room that required a long walk to reach. Since we were traveling with my elderly father-in-law, we requested a wheelchair, expecting a hotel of this caliber to have a good one. Unfortunately, the wheelchair was broken. Although they replaced it, the second one wasn’t much better. In contrast, the smaller room on a higher floor had a much better view and a more pleasant atmosphere. The hotel’s layout is inconvenient, with long walking distances and a lack of strategically placed elevators a major issue for guests with mobility concerns. On a positive note, the breakfast was good, but overall, the hotel needs significant updates to meet the expectations of a luxury stay. It’s not a terrible hotel, but for the price and brand, I expected much better maintenance and service.

Good location. Walking distance to nearest mrt station. Everbright city just besides. Big shopping mall just opposite the road. Good friendly n approachable staff namely Hank Gao, Sissie Zhang, Kanari Ding n Marina.

The location is very good and there is a wide range of food at breakfast Buffett, including Chinese and western cuisine. The room is outdated a bit but clean. I reserved a city view room but was given a room with sort of garden view. When I asked the hotel staff, I was told that the room with city view is generally noisy and it really sounds like an excuse. I just hoped that when checking in, they should’ve made it clear to me.

I had an amazing experience staying at Westin

I recently booked an executive suite based on the appealing photos showcasing a beautiful view. However, upon checking in, I was informed by the front desk that the room I had booked was not available. After consulting with a supervisor, they informed me that the room was now available, but it did not offer the promised view displayed in the room details. To my disappointment, the supervisor explained that the photo in the room details was actually taken from a bar within the building and was unrelated to the room itself. Furthermore, when I entered the room, I immediately noticed that the trash cans had not been cleaned, and there was a strong odor resembling urine near the door. This lack of cleanliness was disheartening and added to my overall negative experience during check-in. However, I must acknowledge that the location of the hotel is quite pleasant. In summary, my check-in experience was unsatisfactory due to the unavailability of the promised room with a view, the misleading photo in the room details, and the cleanliness issues within the room. Nonetheless, I appreciate the hotel's desirable location.

Great area，prime location.

Convenient location right next to Pagoda and many food & shopping options nearby. Very friendly and caring staff, allowing us to check in in the morning into an upgraded and very spacious room. The only thing that lacks slightly back behind the high hotel standard is the swimming pool with a little outdated facilities and sombre atmosphere. The hotel offers free entrance into the art museum attached which is worth a visit e.g. after enjoying the rich and tasty breakfast.

Fantastic faculty, service and location!

The hotel is located in a nice area however the service needs attention. On Sunday morning at 9am we were woken up by very loud noise of people shouting at each other in the hallway. This lasted about more than 30 min... until we called reception and was notified there was a wedding party that morning. Not a single apologies from staff or management team. This totally written off the hotel for us ... the rooms are dark and tired and bathroom needs renovation ... not the usual Westin feel i am afraid.

I honestly can't say I've enjoyed a hotel stay as much. From the spacious room, fabulous food, friendly attentive service to great location this hotel has it all you will not be disappointed. We travel a fare bit and have been a member of another hotel chain for years but will definitely be changing if this is the level of service Westin offers. I hope this is a benchmark followed by other hotels in the group. There staff training is faultless. Will be back.

Great location close to a beautiful pedestrian street and the giant wild goose pagoda. Walking distance to the metro station.
