Lovely room Limited vegetarian vegan hot breakfast choices

Hotell Gastis was so quirky with so many books and artefacts. Our room was very small but perfectly adequate. We hired bikes and visited a small nature reserve. We also went in the Leninbadet which was an amazing experience, even with the steam room not working. It was like going back in time and we loved it. There were major building works going on outside the hotel but we couldn’t hear anything even though our room overlooked them. The roof terrace was lovely and we sat there with a post dinner drink! Drinks were expensive and we didn’t eat there in the evening, but the breakfast was really good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We loved the coziness, the decor, all of the books, and the friendly, accommodating staff. Breakfast was good, too.

An unexpected highlight on our trip. This hotel was an unexpected joy with a rather strange, but visually abundant amount of material to see on every wall. The staff, while young, were all friendly and helpful. The restaurant, located across the street in a separate building was very good. Rooms were well sized and comfortable. I recommend spending some time in the lobby with a beverage and digging into the decor. Breakfast was also very good.

Location convenient

An enjoyable stay inside a "step back in time" hotel, dressed up from a time long gone. Great staff, nice breakfast, in a very cosy environment, though I'd have preferred slight softer pillows.

Kjempefint hotell med god beliggenhet og hyggelig personale! Rommet og badet var stort og vi fikk egen balkong. Hotellets takterrasse var kjempeflott! Frokosten var god, men hadde rom for forbedringer. Hadde ikke tid til å prøve spa, men det såg veldig flott ut. Anbefaler dette hotellet!

Trevlig hotell bra frukost

Trevligt hotell med en speciell ombonad miljö. Rummen kan nog bli mycket varma sommartid. Frukosten är mycket bra. Vi utnyttjade inte spa-avdelningen. Läget mycket centralt men vi stördes inte nattetid. Restaurangen var också bra.

Mycket trevlig atmosfär och hotellet fullt av 15 000 böcker.

En attraktion i sig. Rest runt världen i 20 år men kan inte minnas att jag sett något likt Gästis.

Gammalt men ändå fräscht.
