No suficiente aire acondicionados ,se escucha mucho el ruido, no hay programación regular en la TV, las almohadas son pésimas, pedi una extra y nunca me la llevaron y el restaurante pésima la comida.

Wont stay there again

It’s an older property but well maintained. The bed was comfortable and has a nice pool. We had a view of the ocean right down the street from our balcony and a restaurant on site. It’s located a block off the malacon, so a perfect location and close to some great shopping. Only a few blocks away from the Señora de Guadalupe church. The front staff were very friendly and helpful.

Well first expidia did no notified me that my credit card was not accepted. I did loved the location and the convenience of being downtown and the ocean half a block away

Hotel Rio Malecon is a great hotel! Friendly staff and an excellent restaurant, Coexist Bistro (Italian/Mexican). The property itself is a little dated but the rooms are very clean, the beds are comfy and the air conditioning works great! There is a unique pool and lounge area in the courtyard too! You can't beat the location right on the malecon with tons to do and see all within walking distance. See you soon!

The staff was very friendly, check in and out was easy and very informative. It was nice to get my laundry done. Any place I wanted to go to was in walking distance. The only things I didn't is that the restaurant wasn't open on Monday and there wasn't access to a ice machine after it closed, also the piol wasn't open 24 hours.

The only TV channel they have is YouTube and they are weird about having a guest come to your room.

Many hidden rules that were only told to us upon arrival, ride staff when expressing these rules.

Really good experience, near of the beach and good options for food

This is a relatively basic hotel but very clean and the staff are excellent. Friendly and responsive. Pool is great snd restaurant was fine. Excellent, central lication.

The hotel is one street back from the Malecon and is a great base for exploring. We booked the penthouse suite which was WELL worth the money, with a hot tub, full outdoor cooking set up, air conditioning and full kitchen with laundry. The staff were friendly, fun and welcoming. Taxis are easy to find, often parked right across the street. The hotel restaurant, CoExist, has beautiful coffees and desserts. It was closed on the Monday we visited or we would have eaten there more. Despite the hotel being right in the middle of the action, the room was quiet and we had great sleeps. I can't think of a single downside of this property.

I really enjoyed the stay, calm and great price

Headlines - this is a great location - one block off the Malicon. The hotel is older but mostly well maintained. It’s very clean and we saw how they cleaned a room between guests! It was extensive. The water pressure in the shower was great and the water was hot when needed! Things to be aware of - the wifi can be slow. The staff suggested I try a different room’s network and after a couple of tries I found one that was decent. The pool area is completely assigned to restaurant seating so you need to sit further down in the courtyard. This area seems to be not in main use anymore as there is maintenance items stored here. We did not care but some people might. The beds are firm. I found the pillows really flattened out. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating - we felt very well cared for during our stay. If you are OK with a basic room and love being in the center of everything, then this is good value!

Convenience walkable to Malecon and Vallarta Downtown Centro.

The staff was amazing, kind, friendly and patient. It's a simple hotel but it's right where you want to be near the beach, Malecon and zona romantic. Ac seemed to be leaking in the ceiling and room was musty at the end of the week.
