I have never felt a colder pool and building. The halls had no heaters. Its very dated . The first floor smells lf cigarette smoke / weed smoke and intense incents or deodorant.

We got a smoking room which I didn’t know existed anymore. Don’t judge but it’s really nice not having to freeze your arse off to have a cigarette. The front desk staff was great. The free breakfast was fantastic. I have some food intolerances so it was nice to see such a large spread with healthier options. They also had a great hot breakfast which my husband enjoyed. Never went in the pool but sat in the hot tub for a bit and it was very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. Service was a bit slow but they were understaffed. We really had no complaints and plan on staying there again next trip to Lloydminster.

Older - due for a reno, but good for a family if they love waterslides and are ok with motel-type feel and the smell of smoke in the hallways.

Due to a broken elevator and one guest having limited mobility we were put in the "Tower". The "Tower" had heating problems, so our room was 14 degrees Celsius. They did provide a space heater which helped with the heat. However, there was no warm water, so my significant other could not have a shower for our entire weekend, and I needed to shower at the pool side. They did offer to swap rooms, but that would be an inconvenience and without a working elevator (broken for multiple months) and due to limited mobility, this was not an option. As I booked online, they could not offer a refund. The manger Catherine MacLean did offer a complimentary night, during a future stay. The issue is we do not know when we will return. I would have far preferred a monetary refund. The hotel is dated with rust/mildew/mold in the pool area, multiple broken elevators and the hallway to our room had a roof leak with a bucket (this was unresolved during our entire stay).

The washroom was small, the room smelled musty, the pool water temperature was freezing, one of the waterslides weren’t in working order, the sauna wasn’t working, the hot tubs jets barely worked, they ran out of towels inside the pool area, the continental free breakfast was awful, the temperature control in the hotel room wasn’t up to date it got too hot and then too cold. I wouldnt stay at this hotel again.

We were not notified prior to getting there that the hot tub wasn’t working, that only one water slide was working, and that the pool was freezing and we had 7 kids under 6 with us. Also we were not told that the elevator wasn’t working and tried to put us on the 2nd floor. Also the hallways smelt like propane.
