We went for the wine walk. It was the perfect area. Next time I'll get a ride to the starting area then walk home! Staff was quick with requests & very helpful

Truly, one of the best stays I’ve had in a very long time! Absolutely love this town and all its historic properties. The hotel was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be staying at this place every time I visit.

The shower curtains had mildew & the bathtub was dirty. The TV didn't work either.

I highly recommend the Historian Inn. My room was very clean and comfortable and had a somewhat quaint feel, which was carried over from the warm, charming lobby. The staff was very nice and capable. About that clean room, I note that even though I didn't have a pet, I was given a pet friendly room, since all the no pet rooms were taken. And the room I got was still perfectly clean.

My only problem was I asked to change to a downstairs room as my mom hurt her knee but they said no and they were not full at the time

Little Costly last minute because I was screwed out of a room at the other end of town but this place is definitely the way to go. Food in all directions. Rooms are comfy and are a good place to digest JTs food from across the street.

Nice facility, clean, convenient, safe, pet friendly. Unfortunately, Gardnerville generally was 'fair' in friendliness, e.g., No trespassing, private property, no dogs, no hippies, no etc.; not a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

Location was central for Gardnerville, park close by to go for a walk, lobby had lots of comfortable chairs to enjoy morning donut and drink and great place to read

God restaurants within walking distance. Quiet.

Bed hard as a rock. Bathtub had pubic hair in it. Floor was not clean. The front desk clerk came up to clean the room, but he kept looking at me and saying "Can I go now?" as if I was his mother or his boss and not a customer just wanting a clean room. The sheets were clean, they seemed brand new. The bar next door was a little noisy. The TV came with complex instructions. I had to initial all the rules, individually, at check in. Im not used to staying in places that make you initial the rules, this made me think this place had questionable clientelle.
