Loved it. Whole family really enjoyed our trip these last 7 days. Only thing I would recommend is to get a kids menu in the restaurant.

We had a great stay! The place is beautifully kept, spacious and quiet and perfect for peacefully connecting with nature. The staff are amenable and helped us with a range of activities on offer. Our meal at the restaurant was superb. The bungalow itself was lovely also, the only thing we missed was having tea/coffee provisions in the kitchenette, although there was a reasonably priced cold drinks minibar fridge. The kids loved seeing the friendly ducks wandering right past, the horse-riding and a mini-hike in the surrounding woods.

Really good country property. Facilities were good and the food also. The staff were helpful but you need to speak some Spanish . We stayed in the Igloo which was charming. My only feedback would be a better shower head one you can adjust.

We loved our two days at Ardea Purpurea Lodge. You pass a kind of industrial area that does not look good, but then arrives at this haven of peace, comfort and goodwill. The service is absolutely excellent, even though the main staff member with whom we dealt spoke no English. He and I managed just fine between my (basically non-existant) Spanish and his (basically non-existent) English, aided by lots of gestures, a translation app and eagerly friendly cooperation. The architecture and furnishings are unique and convey coolness and comfort. We never even used the air-conditioning. We stayed here and travelled into Seville every day. Even though it is a 45 minute trip, I would recommend it for the winding down aura of the lodge. The waiter moved tables onto the lawn every evening for a delicious meal in the open. The gardens are also lovely, once again uniquely designed, and there are chairs on the patio of each room for a peaceful drink in nature. Altogether a highly recommended experience and amazing value.

The hotel is set in wonderful grounds and the rooms are clearly designed for warmer weather so our stay over a cooler period meant that the room heating left a bit to be desired Food and service in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were all most helpful. We would certainly come back again.

The hotel could best be described as Rustic, in total keeping with its rural location on the edge of the National Park. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room and common areas were very well maintained. The food was excellent. Not a place to go for pampering, but an excellent location to get a sense of real Andalusian life and culture.

This is a wonderful place to stay; so peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are rustic in design but comfortable and welcoming. The staff are brilliant- very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was very good with plenty of choice. We stayed here as we were visiting Donana National Park, based on our experience at this hotel we are intending to visit again but next time stay a little longer.

This is a lovely and friendly place out in the countryside with a lake for pasing birds and nice quite sizeable freshwater pool for guests (though only a small section is deep enough for swimming so more suitable for a quick dip). We stayed on a very attractively-priced half board deal rate which including a good and varied (less so for desserts than starters and mains) 3 course menu with 3 choices per course. Quite recently built but in an attractive traditional style so not for those who like an American-style sterile environment though well equipped with lovely terraces and other sitting out areas.

Great hotel in Donana Natur park. It was just like coming to a hotel in Africa. The layout the style of the hotel, everything in wood and natural materials. Gerat big rooms with own terrace and nice location of duck in the garden. The only thing missing for winter stay was a thick cover. The staff very helpfull and kind, very good service and a fantastic style of the hotel.

Ardea Purpurea is one on its own! Incredible attention to detail in the design of the buildings, superb and idiosyncratic sculptures in the public areas, it has a real eco / natural feel to it. Very quiet location, set in its own grounds, lots of character. We stayed for four nights, which really tested the limits of the menu as I have a food allergy. Good regional dishes, some quirky (a 'salad' turned out to be a huge plate of brown shrimps topped with red peppers) and the english translations can't be relied upon. If it hadn't been for Rosa, who served us in the restaurant, we would have struggled. Because of the location there are not other restaurants nearby. If you're looking for a one or two night stay at a really unusual hotel and/or you have good spanish, I'd recommend it whole heartedly. I'm glad we stayed here, but I'm not sure we'd make a return visit.
