SInce somebody screwed up and overbooked the property my wife and I were not able to stay because there were no rooms available. I was there for the weekend for the Avila Beach Tennis tournament and my wife and I were forced to sleep in the car for the first time in 65 years. Due to a lack of sleep and back pain as a result of sleeping in the car I lost in the second round; something that hasn't happened to me in 24 years.
To say that I am pissed is an understatement. My weekend was completely ruined. We ended up coming home instead of enjoying a brief vacation. I blame Expedia and will never book through them again. I heard the same issue with Expedia from other people at the front desk of other hotels as we were trying to find a room.
I am considering a class action lawsuit against Expedia for its unlawful business practices. I had a confirmed and paid for reservation. The front desk acknowledged that fact as they were telling me we did not have a room.
I can only hope that Expedia goes out of business as a result of their reprehensible and abominable business practices and if Hampton Inn and suites was in any way involved I hope the same thing for them. If there is anything I can do to expedite Expedia going out of business I will certainly consider it.
