The Hotel Shubhangan is in a great location in Mumbai, within easy walking distance of Carter Road and Bandra (W). The hotel itself has great service, clean and well-appointed rooms (very comfortable beds), with a nice restaurant on the ground floor and hot Indian breakfast. Overall, this is one of the best value hotels in Mumbai!

Friendly helpful staff. Absolutely everyone working in the hotel was pleasant. My room was large and clean and very comfortable. The walls are thin but people are considerate. The location was perfect for me and easy to get anywhere in an auto rickshaw. I would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was in the basement. The coffee was strong and I had a selection of fruit, Indian food and toast.

This is not a place for people with mobility issue . You have to climb stairs to access the elevators. A deluxe room is tiny and there is not much room. Works OK if you just need a place to sleep. The expense compared to the services received is not proportional. The drain in the shower would not drain the water fast enough resulting in overflow into the bathroom. Had to call for extra towels everyday to cleanup the floor to avoid slips. Would not stock extra towels when asked repeatedly. The wifi worked but could not connect to VPN (important reason for the stay) it worked 5 days out of the 13 days we stayed. Called repeatedly to address the issue with a response that we will let the IT Guy know. Overall we stayed there because my mother was sick and this hotel was closest to her house. Breakfast area is in the basement and the food was mediocre and devoid of choices. Again, made you climb stairs to go to the basement. Was told we would be charged for room service if they delivered free breakfast to the room. I had a broken foot in a boot and I had to avoid most of the breakfast. Oh, and he smell of drying fish and shrimps assaulted every part of your nostrils Never again!

Very good hotel for its class and price. Great to have trendy Greek restaurant (Thalassa) adjoined to it as well. Great shower pressure, WIFI was good and location near the sea meant good breeze. Interact with the reception staff, they enjoy some good banter. Will return. Thanks!

I had a really comfortable stay at Shubhangan. I was there for three days. The restaurant was under construction, so the breakfast was served outdoors. It was nice to wake up and get some fresh air, and enjoy the breakfast. They serve traditional Indian vegetarian breakfast. The staff is very attentive. If we needed anything in our rooms, it was delivered immediately. We could also order food from outside and have it delivered at the hotel. It's close to a lot of fun areas. I will highly recommend anyone to stay here. I will definitely stay here again.

Pros: It was in a section of Mumbai that was within walking distance to Bandra where there are many restaurants, lounges and other shops. Although quite a distance from South Mumbai (especially with all the traffic), it was still a comfortable area. Cons: The hotel had extremely narrow hallways. We stayed on the 3rd floor, right next to the housekeeping office, which meant that we heard talking early in the morning to late at night. The wifi worked sporadically. The biggest con was the lack of clean bedding. There were stains in both the pillowcase as well as the sheets. I was glad I brought my sleep sac. Also, in the room they had a menu for the restaurant downstairs that was closed.

We arrived late at night and were immediately not impressed with the area. We had to come in through a back entrance and go through the check-process which was speedy. When we got to the room, it was immediately clear that the rollaway bed we had ordered for our third person was not there and would barely fit. When it did arrive, the staff had to rearrange the sitting area furniture and squeeze it into place. The bed linens had a plasticy feel to them and came across as cheap. Underneath, the linens and different-colored stains and tears in it. It was very unclean and so one of us put on an extra jacket and covered their feet in order to go to sleep. We decided to sleep on top of the covers. The bathroom was the only redeemable aspect of the room and was rather comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was sufficient and met our needs. Overall, I would never stay here again and would not recommend this place to anyone I know.

Conveniently located in Bandra West. Close to bars and restaurants. Room service is good, but breakfast needs much improvement. They are strict on room occupancy. If you pay for single occupancy, they will hassle and charge extra for any guests. The reason to choose this hotel is: good room rate for the location.

My main issue was the that the bedsheets were stained and beds had bed bugs. Breakfast was included but it should have been mentioned that it was a pure vegetarian restaurant which means you get indian food for breakfast and you cant even get eggs...so if u cant swallow spicy indian veg food for breakfast, be ready to eat just toast.

It's ok if you're out all day but we had to ask constantly for basic things eg towels, shampoo, dustbin to be emptied, ac unit dripping water etc. the bed linen was NOT clean with dirty patches on the duvet. Breakfast was adequate but no eggs!

Hotel service is excellent and very good food, Staff very helpful..Hotel is bit inside and took a while for the driver to find out but the hotel as such didn't disappoint. There is cafe in the ground floor

Was staying here just for one night because it was relatively close to the airport. Was okay but I wouldn't stay here again. Largely just a place for me to crash; the room was large and clean, and the location was easy to get taxis from and very close to Bandra as well as the airport. Service mixed though, my Wifi password didn't work, and the shower was semi-broken, so I don't think I'd stay here again.

Hotel was good in that price range, staff was nice, big room, clean, we liked the situation in Bandra too. The breakfast has room for improvment, the restaurant where it takes place could be more enlightened, welcoming. Cafe Coffee Day which is part of the hotel and use the whole terrace should be open way earlier in the morning too ! Anyway, I would really recommend it unless you look for a luxurious hotel or a stylish one.

Travelled with wheelchair,hotel advertised as accessible but has approx 5 stairs to reach lift. Overall hotel is Ok, only vegan food served no eggs. Convenient, can walk to main shopping road and small fishing village. Short tuk tuk ride to Juhu beach but beach fairly dirty. About one hour to India gate an Taj hotel area but well worth a visit to the area.
