The hosts were very nice. The apartment looked great. The property has serious potential. However, the AC in the common area worked but leaked water all over the place and there were cockroaches scurrying around the kitchen. Also, one of the employees knocked on the door and gave us know time to answer before juat walking into the apartment. No idea why. I wouls try it again.

Isabella’s is a lovely boutique hotel, quirky and very comfortable. The breakfast was delusions and a great restaurant as well. Highly recommend

Was ok, wasn’t massively impressed with the apartment in comparison to what in on offer nearby for the same rate. Was slightly disappointed. Access to public transport was good. Found a lovely local tapas bar serving traditional tapas, Neutral Ganduxer which was a short walk.

Isabella’s House is absolutely great and would highly recommend. We are a family of four and stayed in a two bedroom apartment for two nights and it was spacious, clean and well equipped. A really lovely place to stay. There is also a restaurant downstairs (did not try it but looked nice). The staff were helpful nf the check in process was very easy. The location is slightly out of the way in terms of tourist spots, but it is only a couple of blocks from the metro that takes you straight into the Placa De Catalunya within just a few minutes.

The hotel is in a perfect location - a very safe neighbourhood with metro within 5 minutes. The restaurant is a very good standard and we ate there twice. The reception staff are very helpful and the entrance lounge is nicely decorated. The rooms, whilst clean are sadly dated and not as well finished as the photos might portray. I think you’re paying more for the area than the hotel quality so bear that in mind.

Excellent family venue in a quiet residential area within walking distance of excellent public transport. Staff were all very friendly and helpful .. would definitely stay there again!

Property needs some maintenance but is quaint and artsy

This was an ideal alternative to booking a twin room. We had separate rooms and a kitchen etc. Location was a little outside the centre but with good transport links and everything was walkable as well. Staff were really helpful the whole time we were there. Would recommend staying here to anyone.

The people were friendly, not much help getting luggage into the building from a hard to access front door. Not easy to find the location.

the property is a very old building that has been repainted - the walls are thin between rooms, the lighting is terrible, the bathroom is a tub, sink, tiles and toilet circa 1980 with new taps installed. . . and the wifi is borderline nonexistent.

We loved Isabella’s house! International clientele and staff spoke English. Charming building. We stayed in the penthouse and had an amazing view, plenty of space and a small kitchen with a microwave, espresso coffee pod machine, and dishwasher. Beds were comfortable. The spacious balcony was the perfect place for breakfast. Great location in a lovely neighborhoods close to restaurants, bakeries, and bars. Walkable to the Gothic quarter, but it’s 2-3 miles. We had a great meal at Isabel’s Restaurant on the first floor.

So this is a good location for getting to everything you want to see or do. It is in a nice neighborhood and really 'in with the locals' area. It is a hike to get to anything though or a cab ride so bear that in mind. Good: Nice space, had coffee/coffeemaker, blowdryer, mini bar, a dining table, full sets of dishes (except oddly only 2 water goblets). Bad: bathroom door did not close, a/c water leak soaked the carpet- though they came in and cleaned it up but then living room a/c did not work, did not refresh coffee supplies (we were there for 4 days) and we had to ask, no place to set anything- pedestal sink, no shelves or anything in bath, bedroom had closet in one and hanger in other but no tables basically, hot water quit at one point but was ok later, WORST part is shower - to turn on you have to get soaked with cold water because you cannot turn on from outside stall and you can lean the spout away but there is not enough room. Then you adjust to get it hot and get scalded because the range from cold to hot is in nanometers. So when someone went to take a shower, this is what you heard: 1. Person trying to close door repeatedly to no avail. 2. Person turns on water. 3. Loud scream or curse. 4. Water flowing for a few moments. 5. Another loud scream at the scalding water. We all took fewer showers to avoid the shower. Finally, I'd add- the rooms are painted black with black out curtains- great for some, not so great for others. Bear in mind. Nice restaurant onsite.

Full apartment amenities in a clean, quiet, safe neighborhood that was out of the tourist area. I got a feel for how the residents of the city live. We easily could walk to affordable bakeries and restaurants, or buy groceries and use the small kitchen. Walk to the metro was short, and just a few stops to Plaza Catalunya. I liked our stay here much more than the hotel we stayed at on Las Ramblas just a few days later, with graffiti and homeless beggars.

Pros: 1. Relatively nicely decorated 2. Location was nice 3. Quirky 4. Apartment style with kitchen 5. First hotel TV in ages that allowed Chromecast! 6. Kindly delayed our checkout for 2 hours for free. Cons: 1. Our apartment was right outside the restaurant which was noisy and very easy for people to see in 2. Some bits were broken in the apartment (likely due to wear and tear) but hasn't been repaired 3. Although fine decoration most things are just IKEA 4. They were going to charge extra for coffee pods for the in-room machine (that should be free) 5. Check-in was slow, we waited ages for someone to come as desk was unmanned. 6. It was a very average standard breakfast for €10
