Stunning location

The property was absolutely lovely, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! All the rooms were spacious and clean with incredible views of the Ionian see.The property is gated and safe with shaded parking spots. The surroundings are serene and quiet, even though you’re only 10 minutes away from the restaurants at the marina. We loved the private beach with the beautiful calm, Waters and the Infinity pool. My only suggestion would be to trim some of the bamboo in front of the Infinity pool, but other than that, it was absolutely perfect and I cannot wait to go back and stay longer.

While the hotel looks okay there are many faults we found during our stay. We actually reported these to the hotel and was told - thank for these - no apology- no offered to correct in a way. I normally don’t put up reviews but for the price we paid for one night I was so disappointed. The welcome at reception felt very cold- no music in the lobby receptionist made it feel like we had kept here there to check in (we checked in around 5pm). 2. Room is lacking any 4 star touches - you provide a kettle and cups but no coffee station. According to 4star standards this is a basic inclusion. 3. Shower had only luke warm water - 4. The back of our bedroom door is so warped it looks terrible. 5. The toilet seat is loose and when you sit on it your slide to the side so you have to hold on almost. 6. The beach lounges there is no care loungers scattered everywhere so many broken ones etc. 7. The general feel of the hotel is there is little care - in the railings all the ropes are loose or missing. 8. Door to the patio needs oil or something it scrapes so loudly when you open it. 9. Hairdryer is old, it has almost no power so it takes forever to dry your hair.

Beautiful property on the sea near Ancient Olympia. Rooms are very large, restaurant and pool bar have excellent service and food. There are mature, stunning flowers all around the property. Really lovely, peaceful environment.

The property is beautiful and it has a private beach. The views from the room, amazing. The staff is excellent!

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at Marr Dei Suites. Initially we booked for 2 days but decided to stay an extra day. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very attentive. From the time we checked in with Tsia. The interactions with the staff at breakfast , to the staff at the pool our stay was perfect. We looked for something quiet and with a private beach so we could relax as a family and spend more quality time together - for us this was perfect We enjoyed snacks and meals at the pool bar /restaurant and enjoyed driving through the olive fields to Amalias for some other dinner options Other larger towns are near as well Special thanks to : Panagotis and his coworker The very polite lady working at the pool bar. Absolutely clean modern beautiful property. All of the staff is so friendly. We loved it so much that every time I come to Greece from now on to visit my family I will make sure that we stay a few days again at Mare Dei :)

Excellent Hotel - great position next to a little bay which was very private. Room was perfect.

Amazing property. Best deal in Greece if you just need to relax by the sea. We were upgraded to a panoramic view room and that made all the difference! Had to force ourselves to move on and see other places.

The room was awesome. Loved the views. Everyone was so kind. The pool was amazing as was the beach. The food was also amazing. We didn't leave the property. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we ate every meal there. We also ordered the room service which was amazing. We loved everything about this property.

The plus side: 1) The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The beds are comfortable and the a/c is excellent (much better than the standard Greek hotel). 2) The hotel is in a beautiful location. 3) The beach is phenomenal. 4) the breakfast was amazing--huge variety of delicious food and decent coffee. The downside: 1) overpriced. 2) the road up the hotel is not well-marked, and driving with your own car is not advisable. The final stretch of the first access road is a steep dirt road covered in large stones. The second access road is perched on a cliff. If we had arrived after dark, I'm not sure we would have found the place. 3) we did not have a good experience with the staff. It felt like every interaction was a conflict-waiting-to-happen. It was not an good situation for a multi-generational family or families with young children. The stairs were difficult for my mother-in-law and my youngest child. The staff seemed very unsettled by the presence of children--they had odd rules about the pool (kids are allowed in the deep pool, but not in the "hot tub" (not hot and connected to the pool). They were super strict about towels--one per day, per person, NO EXCEPTIONS! 4) the restaurant was not very good and seriously overpriced. Over the course of four days, we tried just about every option on the menu, and all were sub-par. this is to be expected at a hotel restaurant. however, this is a real problem when there are no other options available.

This hotel was for the most part incredible. The staff were very friendly and greeted us on arrival with a welcome drink of a refreshing glass of orange juice. We'd been driving for a while so it was very much appreciated. Our room was amazing with a mind blowing spa, and had an amazing front porch where we could sit and watch the sun set. We could also walk down to the beach which was great & had an amazing view. We hit the pool for a swim and cool down, unfortunately it was a windy day so we didn't stay long but the bartender at the pool bar was very pleasant & skilled. Dinner was fabulous and I highly recommend the food. The only downside was we needed to head off at 8am the following day to get to our next location, and although breakfast was supposed to be served at 7:30, by 8am no hot food had come out at all so we didn't have a good size breakfast & had to stop for something to eat on the way. Other than this we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and if we had more time in this region we would have stayed a few nights.

On arrival we were charged an extra 450 euros due to a booking error . I had called the hotel and Expedia to make them aware of the booking error. Expedia had made notes on their booking and hotel staff had notes on the reservation too. We were to pay an additional fee that I was fully aware of and the fee was agreed to be 200 euros. Instead when we arrived it was an additional amount of 450 euros. There was no compromise on their part, no upgrade and no trying to please the customer. When asked to talk to the manager we were told we would need to make an appointment. When they offered to make an appointment, the manager was only available 3 hours later. Very unprofessional. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!

Second stay. Nice modern clean rooms in a small complex. Excellent pool, lovely attached beach, good restaurant and attentive staff. very tranquil and great place to recharge your batteries. Beautiful views of the Ionian sea and Zakynthos and Kefalonia in the distance. Perfect

The problem with this hotel is the service. slow and failing at times. location is excellent, the rooms are big and the food good

Enjoyed my stay a lot.I wish I knew that "free Wifi" was of very limited time use.The TV connections was very bad for English speaking channels.
