We were supposed to check in at 1pm and room wasn’t ready until 3:30pm. Owner was not there and the wife was not working. I need WiFi since I work remotely and it kept going out every few minutes. We did not end up checking in. I tried multiple times to get ahold of owner and she didn’t answer until hours later. I asked for the cancellation policy which was not available online and wanted to cancel my reservation because I was unhappy with the service and lack of communication. She was not friendly and refused to refund any part of our reservation. We did not stay here and ended up renting another place. I would like to receive a refund for lack of service and poor communication. It was not a clean facility, WiFi didn’t work, and the owner was not accommodating. Very displeased with this experience

Lovely stay at a Pousada ran by a fantastic host. Good English and brilliant advice on activities on the island. Double room and en suite not luxurious but good value. 10 minutes walk up from front not too strenuous.

Simple, clean and comfortable Pousada with friendly and welcoming owners - both English speaking. Situated in natural setting on edge of town - a short uphill walk from restaurants and beach front.

We had a very pleasant 3-day stay here in March. The place was tucked away on a hill just through the small port-side village. Location was peaceful and ideal for nature lovers. There mostly was other couples there, usually doing the variety of things to do on Ilha Grande. The owners provided a lot of credible information about the island and the many walks available to us in English and also in Spanish to other guests. The owners were so friendly, helpful and are gracious hosts. The room we had was almost basement-like, which kept it nice and cool. As a result, the room was always damp. Its tough to get things dry there, maybe a clothesline outside could help, but most of property is under canopy so is always a challenge. Bathrooms were nice and updated..and also was good to be able to store luggage our last day because our boat was around 6pm.

Great Pousada owned by lovely people in a picturesque, beautiful place. We had 4 lovely days.

This is an unusual place, a beautiful location, warm and wonderful proprietors. It's simple but very clean and well maintained. You have a feeling of staying with friends or family rather than in a hotel. Five minutes from the center of Vila Abraão, but you are in the middle of the forest, surrounded by birds, monkeys, lizards, including the giant tegu. Rodrigo and Rita are great cooks, they serve the best breakfast I've had in Brazil. They know Ilha Grande, and they give great advice about what to do.

A good informative reception from the owners but with a fair bit of rain it's better to be based a little nearer the port area then slosh up the narrow streets.

What a find! This was so relaxing. A little piece of paradise. The owners are two of the nicest people i have ever met. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. Breakfast is amazing rita is an awesome cook and everything is made from scratch stay here you wont regret it!

Besides the lack of air conditioning, this place was great. Roderigo and Rita were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Truly gracious hosts. The property has stream access, which is super refreshing. Breakfast is simple, but has great fruit.

Pousada Ouro Verde really is a little gem. Located on the edge of the rainforest it is the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of Ilha Grande. It's also still only a short walk from the centre of Abraao. The breakfast (which was superb) is taken outside on a little covered veranda overlooking the river which runs through the back of the property. Most days during breakfast we spotted beautiful hummingbirds and a small family of star monkeys who we fed with bananas. We even caught a glimpse of an Iguana one day! What really makes this Pousada is the owners, Rita and Rodrigo, they are some of the friendliest people we've met in Brazil and they really made us feel at home. They really take pride in what they do and took great care of us. They also gave us some brilliant tips for exploring the island. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Pousada to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience on Ilha Grande.

Wonderfully friendly hosts, possibly the nicest I've experienced. Unfortunately the room was very tired and needs a coat of paint. Also lots of signs announcing charges if you do x, y, z - very off putting. No wifi (or Internet at all). Really good breakfasts

We enjoyed our stay very much. The island is superb and the location of Pousada Oro Verde is great since its away of the center of the island and it is possible to relax in a quiet environment. Rodrigo and his wife are a very important plus of the place with their important advises in the morning during breakfast on what to do on the island. Further, the home made breakfast is unforgettable!

A recepção da Dona Rita foi incrivel , a pousada é aconchegante, integrada com a natureza , cama boa , chuveiro quente , internet funciona bem , café da manhã excelente! Ótimo custo-beneficio! Apenas é de dificil acessibilidade. Para pessoas com dificuldade de locomoção, eu não aconselho.

A pousada está localizada a cerca de 10 minutos do centro (e do cais, situado na parte central). É uma área tranquila e distante dos bares, bom para quem gosta de sossego. A proprietária e anfitriã, Rita, é uma pessoa extremamente gentil e generosa. Mesmo a reserva não incluindo o café da manhã, todas as manhãs ela preparava um maravilhoso desjejum.

Lugar perfeito para se desconectar do cotidiano e se conectar à natureza. A proprietária Rita simplesmente maravilhosa. Deu várias dicas de restaurantes, lugares e passeios. Voltarei com certeza!
