Amazing staff and out of this world location and view

This was our third visit to Villa Orselina, having first visited in 2020. It's a firm favourite and we return annually to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Villa Orselina really is a little slice of heaven. The hotel is beautiful and in a stunning location and the staff most welcoming and attentive. We'll be back!

Truly one of the most magical hotels i have ever stayed at

This is a absolutely loveley retreat up in the hills above Locarno. The view is marvellous, the rooms spacious and the staff superfriendly. The weather wasn't so good so we enjoyed the SPA and eating a bit too much - as it tasted so good.

Luxurious but not pretentious hotel, with wonderful views, amenities and food. Perfect location to feel like you are away from the crowds (lovely, relaxing pool and spa facilities), but also for exploring the area and enjoying adventures. Two suites fit our family of six perfectly, without feeling crowded. Service was friendly and excellent, especially Frederico at the front desk and Andrea and Heidi in the restaurant. Half board option is very reasonable for four course gourmet dinner, with full menu selection. Fabulous buffet breakfast, which includes made to order eggs and omelettes, overlooking the lake - couldn’t be a better way to start the day.

Plain and simple, it is wonderful! Peaceful, luxurious, and views are out of this world.

We stay at the best hotels around the world and this hotel as at the top of the list. We have also stayed at the Eden Roc down in Ascona... not even close to the quality of Villa Orselina and Eden Roc is nearly 4x the price!! The views are stunning, you are steps from the funicular down (to the town) and the tram up (for hiking), and the best part of our stay... THE SERVICE!!! Among the best of the best we have ever experienced! (and that is saying a lot considering we only stay at 5-star hotels). CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!

Everything about the hotel is beautiful with superb food and level of comfort.

Hotel is decorated and outfitted to the max. The view of Locarno and Ascona outstanding, overlooking the lake. Service very accomodating, food menu a bit limiting. Expensive, recommended for couples/adults. Pool very enjoyable also with spa services available.
