Everything was so great delicious hot breakfast and beautiful comfortable stay.

The staff were excellent, we were greeted with friendly courtesy every time. The breakfast was excellent with a great range of choices. The room was interesting with a very comfortable bed with clean bedding. The bathroom was clean and had everything we needed, although it would have been nice to have had large bath towels. The only real criticism I would have is that the carpet and curtains in our room were absolutely filthy, the latter had a huge coffee/tea stain on the bottom. There was visible dust on the furniture but, in their defence, the furniture was dark wood which is likely to show every speck of dirt. Much of the decor was rather gothically gloomy but I presume that was intended to be in keeping with the period feel of the building. For an overnight stop in Exeter it was perfectly adequate and was very central which was useful. It was great to have a car park right opposite the hotel.

Parking was easy in the square opposite. The room was lean and bed comfortable. Good shower. Could do with a bit of a refresh. Decor looked a bit tired particularly the bathroom flooring. Breakfast was a good choice and tasty. Friendly staff. Great value for money. Excellent location. Super quiet but walkable into the city.

Good clean rooms, great staff

The room was clean, we traveled down mind afternoon and was pushing it for the 10pm check in deadline we contacted the hotel and they said if we missed it we could still stay and get the card from the lock box this was a relief as we travelled from the north east. Both men we spoke to on the phone where lovely, Alfie especially as he put us at ease and got is checked in promptly

Lovely clean room and the owner's were nice didn't get chance to try the breakfast but was offered a free one as we stayed and extra night. Reasonably priced car park just opposite. Will definitely book again

Nice stay, second time at this hotel. Room a little tired but it adds to the character. Staff were lovely. For breakfast the selection of fresh fruits and Jams were excellent, however the hot foot was topped in no particular order and a bit of waiting around for the full selection to be available.

Managed free overnight parking opposite. Worked well combined with family visit. Had a quiet en-suite room plus a bathtub. What a treat. Offerred lots choices for breakfast - standard cost for all options. All the staff I met were lovely. Very friendly and it felt more like a family business than merely ‘corporate’.

Clean room, nice staff, parking is public and need to move by 8 am or have to pay. Centrally located with restaurants in walking distance.

Ian the manager made my stay an absolute nightmare .rude abrupt obnoxious. Staff misinformed me and ian didnt lwt me back into the hotel and had me stood outside fro. 4.30 am till 8am when the next manager started the shift levente was the next manager and fixwd the issue and allowed me back in my room. Ian should not be qorking in hospitality with his mitlet mentality and absokute no lack of communication or resolve or management skils whatsoever. Absokutely disgraceful tramatised my son who was meant to be visiting and havent seen in a while and ruined my whole week .. disgraceful..
