You are in an excellent shopping street. the metro take you one block away from the other, sometimes is best to walk. In this property you have a kitchen, so I recommend go to El Corte Ingles grab stuff to eat and enjoy. I adored the location. Staff very friendly.

Hostal Helena 2 is in a building with many other hostals. It is somewhat confusing to find. (It's on the 2nd level). The person working reception wasn't very friendly, but checked us in in a somewhat timely fashion. The room had 3 twin beds. Mine was decently comfortable, but the other two were uncomfortable. The bathroom has a toilet and urinal. There is a small square shower that had good pressure. Overall, for one night, it was adequate. For a longer stay, I would stay somewhere with a bit more comfort. The elevator takes forever, just so you know. The location is perfect for getting out onto Gran Via and exploring a bit of the city. Plenty of chain restaurants nearby, and fun tapas bars on the side streets around the hotel.

The localisation of this hôtel is very good.It is on Gran Via but it noisy du ring the night.They controle The climatisation and it work to 5 pm to morning except one night they close at 2 am. The room is clean but the fourniture is very old.The matelas are not confortable.The door for The bathroom is very hard to open when you are inside.The personnel was good.

It all went down hill from the first interaction, I booked a 3 single bed room but was given a a two bed room despite my showing them my confirmation which states 3 single bed. The manager said " there are no 3 singles beds here". Further on checking in to the room I was shocked and appalled by the room conditions. There were two "beds" which was essentially foam pad on a four leg base and there was no other furniture other than a single closet with four hangers (no side table or lamps). The flooring was warped ( must be due to previous water damage). The bathroom had black mold on the bathtub and sink. And the most disturbing was the balcony door could not close shut due to construction material stacked up. Because of this there was wind , dirt and street noise coming through all night. I called Expedia for TD on international rates the very same night and after an hour long wait was told to call back next day. I called Expedia for TD next day and after being transferred to several agents and being asked the same questions again and again the call kept getting disconnected. I could not "torture" my family anymore so we immediately checked out in the morning next day and booked us in a decent property close by. I am disappointed at Expedia's response but more surprised that Expedia even offers such appalling property.

Worst place i ever stay in my life went with 2 friends and this is the worst noting like the pics you see the staff dont Speak english and was very rude asked for 3 single beds and give us a Double and a single beds dont stay here! They give us one toilet roll for 3 days and we ask for more they had none left we ask to bed extra bed in they said they had none and we saw 2 in where you keep your bags!

Not allowed to check in before 4 pm, have to check out by 11am Charge to leave luggage, very little English, bad wifi signal, damped room Very basic toiletries

The location is excellent if it is you wa t to stay out late at night. Don't expet anything else. Room is clean enough in our 3 night they did not change the sheet not the towels. Staff is cold and could care less (Except for a young male that was on duty one evening).

It was what we expected, excellent location, just to sleep in a clean room and visit the city.

Great location,sk if your plan is to travel this is really the best value for money hostel you need...basic and clean room (has cable tv) all u need if the hostel is the place where you come to sleep only

The location of the hotel is excellent, next to metro station. The room was Ok, but it has a strong humidity smell. The Barthroom is very small. The hotel staff were great, they help us with everything we need.

Very bad motel. Every thing is broken. Shower the water is floated. No recommendation at all.

The worst experience I have ever had in my 25 years of traveling. Their website is misleading and so is information listed on Expedia. 1. Bedding is listed as "Memory foam". We had a Quadruple family room and all 3 beds in the room had spring mattresses that were old and sunk in so that the springs poked through. No way to sleep on the beds. On asking to change, we were told all beds were the same. 2. No Air conditioning !! On the days we were here temperatures were 36 Degrees Celsius. One floor fan was provided which was of no help whatsoever. 3. WiFi. Almost non existent. Pages that normally took a few seconds to open needed several refreshes and re connections and when it would connect would take several minutes to open. 4. Our Quadruple room was small and dingy. 5. Room had a musty smell. 6. Window opened to an air-well with sewers, with strong sewage smell. 7. Housekeeping. No housekeeping was provided for the 2 days we stayed there. (We moved to another hotel on the third day for which we doubt any refund will be provided) When we complained to the Receptionist (Gloria), she didn't seem bothered and said that's how all their rooms were.

Great location and deal. Just wish they accepted credit cards instead of cash only. Maybe the person at check in want familiar with how to use the credit card machine they had

If you need a place to sleep ONLY!!! Then this is the place to stay. Overall this is a 2 star, so don't expect to be sleeping in 4 or 5 star hotel beds. Cleanliness was not the best, the sheets looked washed but were stained, the shower was not the best either but we were able to shower still. We only stayed one night, and that was it. The best feature about this hotel is the LOCATION! It is right in the dead center of everything! Everything is within walking distance!

A bit loud but in a GREAT area! Price is right.

Lo mejor y por lo que siempre la escogeré en su locación, Inmejorable, frente a la plaza de Callao y a dos minutos caminando hacia Sol y 5 de plaza Mayor. En si la posada es muy limpia y tranquila con mucha variedad de tamaños de habitación, lo único es que en ese mismo edificio cada piso es una posada diferente y en los pisos superiores se siente algo de ruido, igual allá se va a ir a dormir y a salir temprano.

Estuve una noche y el lugar era muy pobre. El ascensor era uns lucha poder conseguirlo. Hsbia en el mismo edificio 5 hostales, imaginense como era el desfile de gente con 1 ascensor para 4 personas. Muy deprimente, salvo la ubicacion excelente

No primeiro periodo 8a 10 foi muito bom, no segundo 20 a 23 nos deram um quarto com duas camas de solteiro, mas disse o recepcionista que foi erro meu na reserva. Dai ficamos em cama de solteiro. Nao era como o de casal mas tinha ar ecompensou mesmo assim.
