Hosts and staff were incredible! Mickey was a delight and really made you feel welcomed with amazing tips. Room 4 was incredibly noisy though. There is an aircon unit or generator that makes a loud banging noise intermittently from the outside. Also the tea/coffee station for all the rooms is right outside that room 4. I was woken up several times late at night to people making tea as the floor boards in that area are incredibly loud. The breakfast was good but there were many fruit flies on the food.

Perfect part of Porto to stay. Great size, clean and very comfortable. Breaky was lovely, fresh and plenty of it. Views were amazing. Michaelangelo was the perfect host.

Great stay at a boutique hotel, only seven rooms, in the heart of old town Porto. Staff, room and breakfast were all excellent. Very welcoming. Close to all the major attractions. Not good for people with mobility issues, as old building with no lift. We were on fourth floor, so our poor knees got a workout. Aside from that, would highly recommend.

The staff, especially Rachel and Michael Angelo, were incredibly helpful and kind. The stairs can be a bit challenging if you’re not used to them, but the staff’s care and attention, the lovely breakfast, and the building’s charm more than make up for it. It’s a small hotel, which makes the experience feel especially personal — almost as if you’re the only guest in the house, with every need thoughtfully taken care of.

A delightful 4 day city break with my mum. The friendly, helpful staff and calm guest house made the trip lovely. Chris and Mickey were warm, smiley and went above and beyond when very busy they still each gave us a warm welcome. The yummy biscuits, water and hot drinks available were most welcomed too. The guest house was ideally located, easy to find and Central meaning we could pop back in the afternoon for a short rest when mum needed it. We stayed in the superior room which was spacious, clean and with soft, comfy bedding. I will certainly be recommending this as a place to stay with friends and family. Thank you!

We really enjoyed the Cale Guest House. The staff were courteous and friendly. Great breakfast to start our day. Our room was clean and beautiful with an excellent view. We had an early departure and the staff arranged to leave some food out for us in the morning. We highly recommend staying here.

The staff was so wonderful, especially Laura! Awesome to have an included breakfast in the morning as well as tea throughout the day. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was great, close to tons of restaurants and not to far from the metro station

Great place to stay as easy walking distance to everything, and the staff were absolutely so helpful with advice of where to go and how to get there

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at Cale Guest House was exceptional. Check-in was warm and welcoming, complete with a thoughtful offer of coffee and breakfast. Communication before arrival was prompt and helpful, setting the tone for a smooth stay. We were given a personal tour of the amenities, including a stunning terrace that quickly became one of our favorite spots to unwind. Every detail reflected genuine care and attentiveness. Highly recommend for anyone seeking comfort, charm, and outstanding service in Porto.

The view from our room was fantastic. The staff were so polite and easy to work with. Breakfast was delicious! We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was in a central location that made walking fairly easy. It is a clean, older building in a historic zone.

Beautiful property....excellent location ...only downfall was no parking but that has nothing to do with property ....construction out front ...again not the fault of the property!! Breakfast was so nice ....beautiful presentation and staff was super nice !!!

We stayed 1 night of 3 nights here and wish we had done it all at Cale. While it doesn’t have huge extra amenities it is clean , rooms big, view incredible. Feels like home. Could not be more central. Everything is within a few minutes walk. The staff (thanks Chris and others) knock themselves out to make you feel at home. Breakfast is great and the welcome discussion and orientation at arrival over complimentary port is fantastic . When we come back we will stay here again.
