Some people like small rooms, horrible smells, a sink covered with lots of insects, hard bed and a shower that turns the bathroom into a pool. If so, you are in luck. To add to your experience, look ahead to rude staff, furniture made for small kids, and extra costs for asking for a new towel each day. If you book through Expedia you will notice that no warning is given as to the state of the road to the accomodation. It starts off ok but eventually weaves around a decently treed area. The road turns into a track and branches are falling regularly. You will not find any images on the Expedia website of this, nor any warnings in the booking email you will get from the hotel. If you do point this out, expect to be insulted and abused for not being able to assume that a non luxury car friendly track should be expected. I exchanged some wonderful emails with a gent who might be well placed to take some "customer service" skills gap courses. I will forever cherish these wonderful words from the manager ? Manager: The roads are gravelled all the way. Patrick: Thats not true, just be honest. Patrick: The road could do with some additional lighting to assist the guests. Manager: Do street signs warn you when it’s dark ahead? That’s why cars have lights, to provide light. What and how you drive is not our responsibility. You own the sports car and it’s you who should know it’s limitations. Patrick: I know its limitations, I was hoping you would have explain yours before I arrived.

A tranquil place to stay, teeming with kangaroos and bird life, yet so close to the beaches and St George's basin. A great place for an escape from Sydney! We stayed mid week for two nights and watching kangaroos from the comfort of your bed as the mist cleared over the dam as the sun rose was a highlight. The only disappointment? The tiny ensuite in the cabins on the dam for me would put me off a longer stay, but we would definitely look at coming back and trying out the other types of accomodation The Worrowing have on offer

We had no experience, because they lost our booking even when Wotif confirmed it. We have no idea what the hotel is actually like! Caution - Don't leave it to Wotif to say booking is confirmed. Call the hotel straight after your booking to ensure they have it logged. Hotel appears to still have a manual process.

When we booked we were very excited. As the pictures indicated that we had a complete lake front with a small jetty leading out to the lake. It was also implied it was on a private property & you were far from other guest or neighbours. However we were at least 100 metres from St Georges Basin (Not a lake) & no jetty. Our accommodation as at the end of a suburban street with another accommodation on the street front (we were at the rear of property) . Overall it was peaceful & relaxing. May rebook again but would like to look more at one of the cabins they had on the private property.

All furniture in the hut was dated and lacked style. The bedspread looked like something you would pick up cheaply at Chinatown. The room was basically clean, but we were greeted with the strong stench of bleach/chlorine when we entered which wasn't pleasant at all. I noted that the window sills were full of dust and there was cobwebs in the ceiling around the fan which point to lack of attention to detail. It also wasn't pleasant to see the amount of bird poo on the balcony which had clearly never been scrubbed. Overall the room gave the general sense that the property owners didn't care much for the comfort of their guests. There is no where to place your luggage, no cupboard for hanging clothes. The bathroom is tiny and without a shower cabinet (there is a curtain but the floor has no gradient to allow water to flow towards the drain) so that water spreads across the entire bathroom floor when one showers. The toiletries provided were of the very cheap sort. One would think that when providing accommodation near the beach there would be a series of hooks for drying towels. There was only one. A kitchenette full of mismatched cutlery and low quality items were also noted. We found a wet mop in the cleaning cupboard that had developed a disgusting stench due to being stored wet - it had begun to develop mould too. Granted we stayed during peak season, but at absolute MOST I would only have paid $270/night for this room, not the $330 - $390 we were charged.

Awesome place with crickets noise, plenty of kangaroos. Such a good break from the daily rush. Aircon would have been good though.

Beautifully photographed and nicely advertised. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to the created expectations. We stayed at one of the Sea Shacks located in Old Erowal Bay. The price point led us to belief we'd encounter a certain level of luxury and feel-good environment. The shack is really quite basic and is lacking character and some essentials like a hair dryer or certain kitchen basics. Key issues for us were the lack of cleanliness and lack of sufficient heating.

Lovely bush setting by the lake and saw kangaroos when we got up in the morning! Comfortable cabin, basic but enough space and comfy beds. I did find the extra cost of bedding a bit steep - I paid $50 for bed linen and bath towels only to discover that only covered our bed, we had to be imaginative with my son's bedding and we'd brought cot sheets for my daughter. It was also freezing on the first night as neither of the heaters worked. To be fair the manager arranged for more heaters to be delivered the next day and the cabin warmed up fine with those. Overall a positive experience.
