We had a room with private bath outside. The room was very spacious but right on a main Street. Without earplugs I did not manage to fall asleep. The AC remote did not work, which was not a problem since we wanted off so we unplugged it. The bathroom was super small. We couldn't extend our legs while sitting on the toilet. And shower drain was not working either, but we had good water pressure and temperature. The staff in the morning speaks good English and was very nice and helpful while the one sits at the front desk at night couldn't understand that we wanted a towel. The breakfast was very simple. Bread, ham, milk, jam, juice and instant coffee, which was not impressive. Overall we felt it was not worth 50 $ a night.

The staff was rude to us. Won't be considering staying with them ever. There are far nicer options in Santiago.

Couldn't speak more highly of the great people that ran the hostel. Felt more like family then staff. Rooms clean, breakfast basic but good. Thanks for a lovely stay.

probably my fault because I booked a single in an hostel. the room was fairly spacious and clean although quite run down and without hot water in the morning. overall it was ok for the price paid, but besides very thin walls with windows that opened inside the corridor,I could not sleep because until 3 am people were talking with loud voices, dragging bags and playing (badly guitar) and the guy who seemed to be the manager not only did not prefer that but was past of gene conversation. probably it's a good option if sleep is no concern and you want to party but definitely not recommended as place to rest. I would have rated 1 staff if it was not for the good service received by the day concierge.

This Hostal has a great location for walking to the city or into the bellavista area for restaurants. Staff speak English and are happy to help book tours or give info. Breakfast was good and the wifi worked well. I had a private room that was spacious and had a private bathroom. It was good value for other places in Santiago I looked at. It is a Hostal with dorms and young folk, so expect do noise late at night.

This hostel is super cute. The rooftop terrace was wonderful, the lounge downstairs was comfortable, and the staff was really helpful. The wifi isn't very strong in the rooms and, as with most of Chile, the coffee is Nescafe - if you didn't know that coffee is a rare commodity in Chile, hopefully this helps you prepare!

Don't anticipate a hot or warm shower if staying here. The water is either FREEZING or SCALDING HOT. Shower at your own risk. Staff is amazingly helpful and friendly!

Mosaico offers a very good value for guess, and is located in a prime location of Santiago, close to major tourist destinations, nightlife and excellent restaurants. The room with private bathroom had very stable WiFi, air conditioning/heating, hot water, and was much bigger than normal. Staff were helpful and always available. One small drawback in my room was that the ceiling is quite high, at least 20 feet, so it takes a long time for the large space to warm up (or cool off). It was also a bit noisy at night since the window faces the street, but nothing too extreme.

The hostel was very charming - the entire space was cozy and inviting. I booked a private room with private bathroom, and the bathroom was down the hall. The water took a while to get warm, and one night I wasn't able to get hot water for a few hours (which isn't entirely unexpected given the age of the property). The room was a little drafty in May/autumn (I had to pull the cover off the second bed for myself!) and there was a lot of traffic noise from outside. The hostel itself was very quiet and other guests were respectful. The front desk staff was very helpful. The location is ideal, very close to a lot of food and sights, and easy to get to public transportation.

We arrived at 2am with a booking agency having mucked up our booking but the staff were more than helpful and sorted it all out in no time. All the staff could speak English which was a great help. Breakfast was simple but good. Our room was a bit cold so a heater would have helped but there was plenty of warm bedding. We spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed it. We could walk to all the major attractions as well.

This Hostel was well above our expectations. Brilliant old building with remodel. rooms had vaulted ceilings and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions. this Hostel is well placed for the CBD of Santiago with great neighborhoods around filled with food options and tourist fun.

I would recommend staying here. Great location, a short walk from the nightlife on Pio Nono, but not loud at night. Not a long walk to the center or Cerro San Cristobal. I booked a private room with a double bed. The room was pretty large. Wifi was super fast the first night, but slow the other 2 nights. No hot water in the sink. There was hot water in the shower, but it did not last very long; after the 1st day I adapted fine, though. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff was friendly.
