Outstanding food. Accommodating staff. Beautiful grounds.

This hotel is located about 25 minutes from the airport but only about 5 miles- winding roads. It is a nicely kept old farm house (over 100 yrs old) with beautiful views and gardens. The staff are very helpful but there are things beyond their control. The first night the credit card machine did not work. The second night was very cold and rainy without any heat and the electricity was out until around 6 pm. The walls and doors are thin so sound traveled very loudly whenever anyone talked. Being so far from the airport I was a little worried that the taxi would not arrive in time for us to arrive at the airport by 5 am but he was there right on time! Expedia said the transportation to and from the airport was 50,000 pesos but they charged us 70,000.

The staff and the owners are great! Very helpful and friendly. From the hotel you have amazing views of the are as it is located on a rural area almost on top of a little mountain. Definitely recommended if you want to stay outside of the city for a couple of nights on a pace full and relaxing setting. We only spent a night but one of the highlights of our visit! Also, the landscaping within is great as there are flowers off all kinds throughout the property. You can experience warm days but really cold nights.

The cook was the best part of the stay. Her meals were some of the best I had in Colombia. However, the hotel is located in a pretty cold climate. The rooms are completely uninsulated and the hotel only gives you enough firewood for one hour of burning. Plus, the "hot water" shower only ran a trickle. Very uncomfortable.

Upon arriving at the airport in Medellin from Cartagena at 6pm and trying to find a taxi to take me to the only address I had from my reservation and not one knew where it was though they knew where the town was. Amazing because the ad said it was close to the airport which is why I chose it because I had to be right back at the airport early a.m. they offered to drive me to the town to try to find it for 60,000 peso, which was the cost of the taxi ride to Medellin; and it was 40 min from the airport and Medellin was only 45 min away...so where was the closeness to the airport? I called the hotel and never got an answer as time is ticking away. When I finally got someone to answer no one could speak English. The reservation said it cancelled at midnight and it was now 11:30pm and I'd been at the airport for 5 1/2 hrs at that point. I couldn't get there in time and I spent the night sitting in the airport cold and exhausted until I could check in for my flight the next morning.

Great place to relax and get away with a loved one!

We stayed here because it said it was close to the airport. This is NOT true. The hotel is absolutely lovely and charming but quite a bit far from anything. If you want to be secluded and hide away for a bit, this is the place for you. Very attentive staff and were accommodating by storing our extra luggage for us while we traveled. We will stay there again on our way back for sure.

Very cute small hotel. Quiet and serene with nice views. The staff was wonderful as well. Only complaint is the room was very small and the bathroom was tiny. We also heard every sound from the room next to us.

Importante en un descanso es contar con una buena cama. Lamentablemente la cama asignada no cumple con esa premisa. Dos colchones separados y muy duros que no permitieron descansar apropiadamente ni dormir en pareja. Mi esposo pasó muy mala noche y estuvo muy indispuesto por la pésima cama. Lástima que este único punto dañe todo el esmero que se da en el resto del servicio...

Een artistiek bloemrijk hotel met een schattig binnenplaatsje. De kamers die voorzien waren van een balkonnetje waren verreweg mooier en sfeervoller dan de andere kamers.De kamers zijn voorzien van een open haard ,die s'avonds voor je aangestoken wordt. Buiten hangen hangmatten. Hoewel men ontzettend hun best deed en erg aardig was , liet de kwaliteit van de service te wensen over. De informatie was niet altijd duidelijk.Het personeel sprak geen Engels (behalve de manager)Het is koud 'snachts , dus het is aan te raden om warme sokken en een trui mee te nemen.Toch raad ik iedereenaan , die van wandelen en de natuur (boerenlandschap en bossen) houdt om naar dit gezellige hotel te gaan.Het schattige dorpje Santa Elena Parque is makkelijk te voet te bereiken en vooral de restaurantjes "Canela" en "Monesterio" zijn van harte aan te bevelen.

Excenlente la atencion a 18 minutos del. Aeropuerto muy romántico gracias a la chimenea duerme uno rico. La sujerencia es cambiar algunos cuadros

el servicio en el hotel es muy bueno, los empleados del hotel son muy amables y atentos. la comida es muy buena.
