The details are looking tired like doors in kitchens and lifts etc. Also felt like the mini bar offering was too much occupying half the fridge and on the table also. A great hotel in general cannot fault the cleaners. They was fast at cleans and to a massively high standard changing anything without question that was remotely used in any way.

Good location, comfy rooms, nice pool area. Could do with a new wallpaper to brighten the rooms and few extra plugs sickets/new fixtures.

Excellent location!

Overall a pleasant experience but they try to add so many extra charges that seem unnecessary. Water is 4 euros per bottle and using the safe in the room is 3 euros per night. I’ve stayed in many hotels and I have never been to a hotel that charges for these. Everything else is great. Very nice atmosphere and beautiful pool/terrace. Location is great, near Yumbo centre.

This was the second time that I have stayed at this property. It has a wonderful location; 5-8 minute walk to the Yumbo Centre. The pool is fantastic. Housekeeping let me sleep in every day, and were very helpful when I needed extra amenities. The front desk staff was always friendly and able to help answer any questions. I will definitely stay here again!

Regular visitors to Axel Maspalomas, and every year it’s as good as we remember! Brilliant staff at reception, the pool bar, and the cleaners. Always an absolute pleasure to visit. As ever well done Axel Team! We will be back soon.

I have stayed many times at Axel Beach and is always enjoyable. While you do pay a little more compared to other hotels nearby; the room are clean & spacious and the pool area is friendly and relaxed. The staff are very friendly, especially Javier in the Pool Bar. I would recommend Axel Beach to anyone within the LGBTQ community.

Lovely hotel in good location. Nice pool area stuff super friendly. Kitchen hob needs replacing IT IS VERY OLD. Beds very comfortable, rooms big. Shame you need to pay for your washing up liquid free in all the other hotels, first water of water should be free. Lovely to have new coffee mashine in the room shame welcome capsule not free like in the other hotels.

All the staff were excellent. The property was lovley My stay was ruined by a Hen Party. They were extremely loud, drunk, and didn't care about the other guest's. I was dissapointed that Hen Partys were allowd.

Great hotel, mainly catering to LGBTQ+ travellers, but as they say, they are hetero friendly too. Breakfast is always excellent. A good sized pool with a jacuzzi on the side. Slightly let down by the hotel bar shutting at 18:00, but I guess it made sense with Yumbo just round the corner where all the nice bars are in Playa del Inglés. Would love to stay again.

It's a little dated but looked after and the staff are amazing.

Great hotel. Very clean, staff is excellent. A little old but well kept and only adults. Perfect stay!

Great place to stay and relax

This definitely did not meet expectations. The property was quite run down. Rooms need modernising. They felt a bit grubby. But good size! Limited spaces to go other than the pool. The safe wasn’t working. Also I felt the area was a little unexciting compared to other parts of Maspalomas.

You pay a premium for it being LGBT. Could do with an update. Rooms cleaned extremely well, but do come across as somewhat basic.

On arrival, pool was a construction site with no prior notification from the hotel. The "beach cabins" shown in the photo were taped off. Construction workers were using hazardous chemicals that stank out the entire pool area.

First Time in Axel Maspalomas. First Impression was positive. Great Location. All the staff were amazingly helpful. I do remember Carmelo from breakfast, very kind and helpful. I don't remember the name of the receptionist, but the service was beyond expected, with the issue we had with the swimming pool closed for maintenance.,we have received alternative options to make our stay smooth and memorable. I will be back again for sure.

This is primarily a gay hotel but all are welcome. That said, the large mural showing a line of buffed and handsome men in swimming trunks was not quite what we saw lying around the pool, but perhaps they come in the summer. The room we had was a nice size, with a lounge with kitchenette if you want to rustle up some food. The breakfast was great, the staff really friendly and helpful, it's located a few hundred metres from the Yumbo Centre, and it's a short walk from the various bus stops for trips to Maspalomas and other towns around the island. The bar - at least in January - closed by 6 but there's a well-stocked minibar if you get desperate. Get a room pool-side as the main road on the street side is very noisy in the daytime. If you book directly you might have a better chance of getting one. The only criticism is that the rooms are a little scruffy in places, clean but clearly a bit dated. We'd go there again.

Excellent to exceptional. From checkin. To all our 5 nights everyone was fun professional And friendly Never forget To thank the room Attendants So friendly fun and helpful also.
