I’ve stayed here a few times. It’s slipped a bit. Got a hard sell for an upgrade when I checked in tired and jetlagged. Eventually took the upgrade and still charged me for the ‘free extras’ such as laundry. Upgrade room looked worse than the normal rooms I previously had. Breakfast was good no orange juice and jams were like watery fluid. Not big things but shows lack of quality control

The service here is impeccable. "Star" at the front desk was so helpful negotiating with a taxi driver and helping me exchange USD for RMB. A very high class hotel with the best staff. I would gladly stay here again!

Staff and decor was excellent. Only thing was the first room had a strong smell of cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room.. Staff was quick to switch rooms for me.. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very modern and the personnel is VERY friendly and helpful. The rooms are VERY clean and very well maintained. The hotel is located near a subway station, making almost any point in the city accessible. Few points causing discomfort: 1. The handwashing sinks at the bathroom are very shallow and completely flat. Washing hands causes spatter in all directions. 2. Water never drains out from the flat sinks and, soon, the sinks get really ugly to touch. The personal thoroughly removes this residue every day but a concave sink would be better. 3. The closet for clothing is located INSIDE the bathroom. Standing water in the sink makes the clothing damp. In rainy days it is felt sufficiently to cause discomfort. 4. The biggest problem is that the internet in the hotel is as good as none. Their provider blocks the sites randomly including most commercial sites and even educational institutions outside China, including their email servers. This problem may be specific to foreigners but the problem is serious for any business traveler.

The restaurant staff were among the worst customer service I've experienced. The manager kept PUSHING me to buy their club membership for diner vouchers and discounts. They had a seafood buffet night, so I asked for a 'finger bowl', they replied "We don't have this?" I asked, 'Could you not put some lemon in a bowl of water...?" We don't do this.. she replied! Throughout the evening, it wasn't busy... finished plates weren't being collected. The hotel stay was pleasant... but ruined by the dinner.

Overall, the stay was good. Great breakfast, the room was slightly "worn". Water in the shower drained kind of too slow, I thought I would fold the room. The major inconvenience for me was during the check-in: The front desk attendant could not locate my reservation right away and took them a long time to reach Hotels.com to confirm the reservation and the fact that I completely paid for it. Overall, the check in took more than one hour. Not sure which side - Hyatt or Hotels.com - was at fault.
