Had a great stay

Very nice location right in the old town. Public parking at affordable rates available very close by. On the downside, the room was advertised as having air conditioning. It looks like it had in the past and that the thermostat controls had been removed.

The hotel is perfectly located, we had lovely afternoon walking in the Old part of Meisses. The bed is comfortable. The only detail that can be easyly improve is to give a complimentary bottle of water in the room. There is nor coffee machine or kettle so at least a bottle of water would be welcome. There is a small city car parking near hotel.

This is an elegant hotel but we arrived during a heatwave. There was no airconditioning and a woman was complaining about the heat in her room. Our room was a bit warm large and beautiful with a extra room for my grandchild. Breakfast was great and the area around the hotel is gorgeous! I'd stay here again.

Great breakfast! Big parking lot behind the hotel, for only 5 euros per 24 hours! WiFi could be a little better connection disappeared couple of times. Perfect stay!

Particular praise for the excellent Astrid on reception . She arranged collection of my wife's glasses from the nearby Ratskeller after we left Meissen. Then posted them on to Prague. So kind!

The hotel itself has all the standard things you would hope for. Good rooms, comfortable beds good breakfast etc. It’s in a great location in the centre of the town and close to the bus stop for the tourist bus which takes you to the castle and the porcelain factory. But what sets it apart (and has made me make the effort to write this review) is the outstanding service we experienced throughout our stay and in particular Susan the receptionist who, after we had checked out and left the hotel on the day of the October storm, took us back in when we found all the trains had been cancelled and persuaded the overbooked taxi service to find someone to take us to Dresden for the next leg of our journey. For which we are eternally greatful.

This is a nice, clean hotel with luxurious decor and room appointments. My single room was way too small, and I couldn't get the wifi to work either in my room or in the hotel's common areas, even with the help of staff. Parking is convenient, whether the hotel's or the public lot on the square.

Overall it isn't a bad hotel. The woman at the front desk on week days did an outstanding job. She was very, very nice and she went out of her way to help us in any way she could. The woman in charge of breakfast during the week did an excellent job. On the weekend the staff seemed inexperienced. On Saturday I called the front desk at 4:30 in the afternoon, and the woman told us she would bring them right up (I speak fluent German, so language was not an issue), and 2 hours later we still didn't have the pillows. At 20 to 7 my friend went down to the desk, and finally about 10 minutes later, we had our pillows. Had she not gone down to the desk, we still wouldn't have had our pillows. The woman in charge of breakfast on the weekend was very sweet, but my friend ordered an omlette at extra cost, and it was the worst she had ever eaten. The experience overall was ok, but not up to the standard I expect from this caliber of hotel.

This was our second time in this hotel and once again, it was great! It is located in the center of the old town and close to everything. The hotel is very elegant and clearly earns its 4 stars next to the door.

Right in the center of town. No A/C and nobody to help you with luggage as you must go up and down a maze of stairs to get to your room. So if you don't mind being without A/C in the Summer and carrying your own luggage up and a maze of stairs, it's not a bad 3 star hotel. PS. Internet extremely slow to none functioning and no room service. Otherwise, it's OK for few nights to see Miessen.

Clean rooms,public areas,great buffet breakfast,perfect location with parking in front of hotel that is free from 18:00-8:00. Friendly,helpful staff....can't say more.....oh yeah, the price was great too.

We were very satisfied with our stay here and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The location was great also and it was nice and quiet.

This elegant, old hotel is located near the market square, convenient to many excellent restaurants and stylish shops. The service was outstanding and the German-style breakfast was plentiful. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!
