a great onsen place with lots to offer. Many different types of onsen as well. Love the experience. Will come back for sure. The only thing you have to watch out for is. Take the shuttle bus and try not to walk up the really steep hill to the hotel. It is definitely some cardio exercise. But, if you take the shuttle bus, which is very convenient, you will save yourself some harsh exercise.

There was cigarette smell in the room, but when I told a receptionist about that, the receptionist was not kind enough to solve the issue. And the hotel food was not good and fresh enough.

The hotel room is cozy and the hot spring bath is good despite the fact that it was quite busy during the new year. The dinner and breakfast are both good. The staff are also nice and helpful.

The hotel has a lot of public hot bath option, and also many spa menu they have, but I could not make reservation even tough after check in around 15:30. The spa and public baths are very popular for day time visitor so I recommend to make reservation ahead of time, if you want spa menu. Dinner was wonderful full course Japanese Kaiseki. I will be back with my family.

If you just want to relax, bring something back from 711, and go bath-hopping in Taiko no yu within Hotel, this is your place. Shuttles to station and ropeway, but some steep hills to get here and around town to other baths. All cost entrance fees.

Beautiful hotel… had breakfast included, which was very yummy. Hotel at the top of the hill z..quick walk to the town, but the walk back is a killer! There is a shuttle but it’s only drops. And picks up at the train station.

They have a variety of onsen, which has made the experience more interesting. Their food for both dinner and breakfast was good.

Went there on Sunday for a 2 day stay. The hotel's public spa was way too crowded. So we only used the hotel's private spa which was good, much less crowed, but without an outdoor pool. It has a steam sauna room though. Room was spacious with a view. Dinner was kaiseki and served in our room. The first night's kaiseki dinner was disappointing. It was great to look at but lacked flavor. The Kobe beef was over cooked and smeared with too much sauce. Totally destroyed it. However, they redeemed themselves with a wonderful kaiseki the second night. Earned them an extra star. I researched transportation prior to going there but got confusing information. Once I got there, I found 2 easy routes. Go to Sannomiya station, take bus at bus stop M4, and you'll find yourself in Arimaonsen. However, those buses don't run frequently. Alternatively, take the subway to arimaonsen from sannomiya station. This route require transfers, but the transfers are simple, involving just walking across the platform to another train. No chance of getting lost.

We met nice and helpful staff in reception and restaurant. Our package includes half-board. Dinner was so-so, and I like the breakfast more. It was just not flexible in the way that we must make a call as to get the hotel to pick us up from station. We ended up taking taxi even though it's only 2 mins ride given the steep slope. Overall, my friend and I both like the hotel :)

Stayed during the New Year holidays. The staff were all polite and accommodating. Our room was a basic, small tatami room. The hotel has a spa resort with gold, silver, and outside baths (roten). The spa is open to public, but if you prefer not to use it, you have a choice to use their hote-guest-only baths. You can lend pretty yukatas. We expected a buffet dinner, which I normally do not prefer, but it was a full-course kaiseki dinner, starting with a welcome wine. It came with beautiful assorted appetizers, sashimi plate, two hot pots, tempuras, individually cooked rice with crab meat, and dessert (and some more dishes in between). Breakfast was a buffet, but it wasn't too crowded. I stayed at the Arima Grand Hotel several times, but as the hotel is bigger, their buffet was way too crowded and too busy. Overall, we had a nice stay.

I expected a buffet dinner which I don't really care for but it was a full Kaiseki course dinner. The service was excellent, too. I'd like to use this hotel again.
