Great staff, bad administration. Check in on Saturday night, they gave me a room with box smaller then mattress, shower didn’t have enough water and had a hole on the wall, TV didn’t work properly, they have pillows feel like a rock, there isn’t enough blankets for all the guests so they had no blankets for my two nights of staying. They offered me a free dinner and the food was great and the staff very polite, but they don’t have authority to do anything and the manager doesn’t work over the weekends so, they claim that There’s nothing they could do other then offer me a dinner in order for me to stay at they property also I could talk to they manager on Monday after checkout. On Sunday morning the housekeeper come in to the room and offer me a duck feather pillows also to switch rooms or after breakfast she would show me 3 different kind of mattress they had I tough it was ridiculous that some guests has to be frustrating at checking and complain in order to get a good night of sleeping. So, basically I had only 2 nights at the hotel the first one I could not sleep because the mattress would move because of the size of the box and no blankets, and the second night they fix the pillows and the mattress but I still have to be without a blanket because the manager wasn’t at the hotel but they put the housekeeper supervisor his name was Samir who told me he couldn’t do anything and I had to wait for the manager on Monday morning the day I was supposed to check out.

Facilities need an upgrade - Staff is very friendly and courteous, ensuring that guests are taken care of (5 Star Service). Location right in front of the beach, and great walking distance from shops and restaurants/ kiosks.

I loath being negative but I would like to be objective in order to help other customers. Bottom line, I will not visit this hotel again. 1. First, the house keeping service is exceptional. Employees are very professional and a delight to deal with. 2. Restaurant staff is superb and would give them the highest ratings. 3. Support staff and maintenance is great. 4. Reception leaves a lot to be desired. It leaves you with mixed feelings. We had some issues come up and they were not accommodating at all. This would not be acceptable in many western places. We were going to upgrade and they were proposed charges that did not include the cost already paid. I would have left the hotel in a heartbeat but being in a foreign place with limited language skills makes it difficult to resolve issues. Essentially, this was the most unaccommodating reception staff I have dealt. 5. The rooms are small 6. Bathrooms are tiny and our faucet was clogged day one. 7. Forget any ideas of a balcony if you get a sea view.We could not sit on our balcony. Everything that came up was disputed - they couldn't even accommodate a different room for one night out of the whole week. We were told you have to make a new reservation even though the entire week was already reserved and paid for. The pool is next to the restaurant, first floor, and very impractical. Do not count on any pool time. You will have a much better experience next door with Costa Do Atlantico then Verdegreen.

Unfortunately every time we arrive for a stay at Hotel Verdegreen (which is quite frequently), they don’t recognize us at regular customers, treat us like we are strangers, demand yet another copy of our passports, and generally show no appreciation for us being regular customers. They must have at least 60 copies of our passports in their office by now yet they continue to demand more copies. Quite honestly, it’s crazy and shows a lack of training of the employees by management. When returning to a hotel that you regularly stay at fort 5 years, it would be nice to have the hotel actually acknowledge that they know us! This one major gripe aside, the hotel is well located, clean, not showing too much wear and tear (but will soon need some renovation/redecoration of the rooms) and has a fantastic breakfast. About the breakfast, it’s partially organic, and absolutely delicious and among the best Hotel breakfasts that I’ve had in Brazil. And I give extra points because it’s partly organic. The hotel needs to provide an extra towel or two in the bedrooms and control the temperature in the hallways a bit more. Oh, and it’s time for new pillows for the beds. Overall I like this hotel. With a bit better management, this hotel could really shine.

I came through the driveway, nobody came to my car to open the door! no valet parking, no bell service, no doorman! I leave the car and I see through the glass doors 3 people over the counter looking at me! I walk-in and say: check-in! the guy who looks to be the valet guy/bell service did not move, I told to the desk person that I never seen service like that, If i should ask for service? After i picked up my things in the car, the valet person leave behind the counter and come to give me the voucher for the parking! during my check-in process, I made a reservation for 2 people, I gave my name and the desk clerk comes to me and give me registration form and I ask for a second one for my friend who was with me and the guy says: you need to pay more for that, and I say: look for my reservation, it says 2 guests! He went to check in the system, it takes sometime and I show my reservation and gives me the last hotel room on the 2nd floor facing the back of the building and laud too! I got there and the key did not work, I came back to the desk and said that it was not acceptable that they should be more friendly and someone could escort me to the room to make sure that hte key works and I requested something closer. I always stay at the Hardman Hotel, service much better! this hotel won't see me again! first and last time! the staff was not friendly, checkout, just 1 person at the desk when we had more than 4 people waiting! very bad! I felt a harassment with me and my friend!

I've stayed at this hotel many times, but this was my first bad experience. The bed was missing a blanket and the pillows smelled horrible. I'm not sure if they treated the pillows with an air freshener or a pesticide, but they were unusable! To be fair in this review, I must say that my previous 4 stays at Verdegreen had no problems

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful one night stay at this amazing hotel. First things first, location is superb in front of the beach by the 'calcadao', the reception was first class from the beginning to end. It's a hotel with great green credentials and should be imitated by most. Room was big and clean, the bathroom was very good with a wonderful shower area. The night was quiet and air conditioning did the magic. My wife and I were astonished with breakfast, one of the best I ever experienced. Great variety of regional fruit and foods. Plenty of options for all fussy eaters. I enjoyed the massage and pool that was offered by the hotel. I cannot recommend enough this hotel. I pretend to use again for longer if I stay again in Joao Pessoa.
