Hotel is ok but price point we found too high for what it is

I would absolutely bring my family back to stay here! We had a suite 2 queens and a sofa bed. The room was clean, stocked and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. The hotel itself was very clean, easy to navigate, and staffed with friendly and helpful people. The breakfast was great and the dining area was big, clean and comfy. Our kids had the pool to themselves for an hour and loved the warm temperature. We're already talking about coming back for our annual "girls weekend" next year. Thank you Homewood Suites for a great stay!

There are renovations happening on the main floor. There was no notice of that when booking through Expedia.

The bathroom has no door. Only the toilet has a door. Room was clean

We were told that renovations were scheduled to be completed by our arrival time, but that if they were still ongoing, they would not at all interfere with our stay. The entrance, hallway and elevator were all very grungy and unappealing. Lots of contractors moving about and using tools. I found the front desk staff to be very unfriendly. Note that the housekeepers and hotel maintainers were pleasant. We waited a good 10 minutes in the lobby for a couple of bottles of water to be found somewhere in the back storage. The other party I travelled with were late to breakfast and asked if some items could be offered to them, but they were denied—despite the fact that “breakfast” was all pre-packaged because of the renovations. The smell of sewage often wafted through our the hallway outside our room. We absolutely hated how the sink is in the living space and not in the bathroom!! This is a terrible suite to stay in if you’re travelling with family or friends because you’ll be disturbed every time someone goes to the washroom, as you have to turn on the lights to brush your teeth and wash your hands in the main room, outside the bathroom. Not to mention how unhygienic that is. This hotel should have been majorly discounted during the renovation period. Even once the renos are complete, I would not recommend this hotel based on the service and bathroom design.

Over scrutinized at check-in. When the person in front of me had NOT received the same treatment at check-in right before my eyes! The hotel was undergoing extensive renovations without properly securing the working areas for security of the guests. And the Renovation was not advertised while booking. The mattress was very thin and NOT what you expect of anything that has the Hilton name beside it….disappointing. Because my children had to go back to the room to change into proper attire to walk through the renovations we arrived at the restaurant at 10:01 and they denied us service, without even offering something to take to the room. The service was extremely poor. DO NOT RECOMMEND find another place to stay!!!

Despite the property undergoing renovations, it was beyond our expectations. Only wish was that the pool was a bit bigger felt like we were to many people in the pool with just 4 adults and 3 kids.

Whenever we come to town for a holiday weekend with my family, they always have great service. The homewood suites by Hilton hotel staff at the Ajax location are kind, helpful and welcoming. My children enjoy their pool! They are currently renovating and we’re loving how it’s coming along.

Nice place. The housekeeping staff are good at their jobs. They make the rooms very comfortable

Only issue was having to constantly ask for extra towels when the staff knew how many people were in the room.

The fire alarm was going off for approximately 45 minutes which woke me up and scared my dog. When it was check time the elevator was out of service and I had to bring everything down 6 flights of stairs with my dog

The location of the property and hotel was perfect for where we wanted to be. The assigned room (410) was great and spacious. However, it also turned out to be quite noisey as it faced the 401 highway with terrible traffic both day and night. Trains coming and going again both day and night. Sleeping was almost impossible to say the least. Should we decide to return there sometime in the future, we will definitely request a room on the other side of the hotel. Hopefully, the noise from the traffic wouldn't be as loud. We were disappointed it turned out the way it did. We're older and truly enjoy spending any available time in more relaxing and quiet surroundings. This trip did not fit-the-bill in this regard, so to speak!
