The owner was very helpful and dealt with our questions efficiently. The room was close to the sea and our stay was restful.

Stinky bathroom (moldy smell), property is old and rundown, overpriced, doesn't provide fresh towels and linens on a daily basis. However, it is in a beach front and that’s the only thing I liked about it.

If you love Thailand, you will love your experience here. This is the nice end of Lamai beach. Great spot to start your morning walk or run. Plenty of food, laundry, everything you need 2 minute walk. Beach lover paradise. This resort is a gem on the beach. I extended my stay a week. Warm Hospitable owners.

Set in pretty garden close to sandy cove, rocks for snorkelling around and a long, sandy beach. Close to shops and restaurants of all kinds, old and new. Lovely staff, run by lady who owns it and who made us feel like family. Thank you, Poom!

Tropical, lush surroundings with flowers and birds. With an equally warm and wonderful host. This is an escape kind of place. People won't bother you as you are the last property that can be walked to by the beach. There is a swing and lounge chairs that were always available when we were there. You can watch people fishing and dogs frolicking in the sand. There is some snorkeling that can be done, but it is in shallow water that visibility becomes a problem. The water though is the temperature of bathwater. There are facilities for you to use such as a restaurant. (There are many things that can be made, but ask a day early for things that need to be ordered fresh such as seafood.) As well, there is a massage therapist on site. My massage was very deep, but effective at curing a one year old seized back. There is a library full of books, which is really what this hotel is ideal for. That and finding peace. Be aware that this isn't a fancy hotel. In your room the bed is typically Thai hard. The simple furnishings are useful, but dated. There is wardrobe and a book case, a futon like sofa. There is a shower and a clean toilet. The windows allow in some fresh air from outside. You are in a one room bungalow, so the air conditioning needs a key to start up when you return from an outing. It is heaven for a backpacker, but it isn't a four star hotel standard. That said I found the place endearing. After a few days, it had charmed me and I felt at home.

This resort has seen better days. But the worst part was the unfriendliness of the staff - did not feel welcome al all. Also ended up with a very small bungalow that was located directly across from the car park - so had neon lights on all night, even through the curtains. Can do much better for the money. Wont be returning.

Great location on the end of the beach. Very friendly staff and owner. Jungle setting with lots of plants and flowers. Good food at restraint. Easy walk down the beach to night markets and Lamai.

We really loved this place right at the end of Lamai beach! We prefer quiet and relaxing hotels so this place really delivered. The owner is a wonderful and sweet person, quite personable and puts you right at ease. The food at the restaurant is pretty delicious. Our standard bungalow was perfect though quite warm during the day even with a fan on. But that's not a problem at all, just go relax and cool off on the beach which is pretty much the backyard! The waves were pretty strong during our stay though so this is perhaps not the best beach for swimming in December-January. But the beach is clean, the water color lovely when the sun is out, it has a great view, and you can hear the therapeutic sound of the crashing waves late at night and in the early morning. It's a great getaway for sure!! There are restaurants nearby along the road, or you could walk along the beach and hop into restaurants with seaside view. This is very much a family-oriented and quiet hotel/area, so don't expect a big party scene. Word of caution to the squeamish though, we did see a small spider, some thick centipedes, and a small dead snake in the area. You're pretty much nestled in a garden so you can't avoid these natural critters. But these weren't a problem for us, would absolutely stay here again.

I spent few nights there with my girlfriend, the staff was not friendly, bit lazy. The restaurant was closing before 9. About the room, the sheets wasn't really clean, hole on it, the batheroom was smelling the fish... I won't go there again

We stayed for 2 weeks and had the best, most relaxing time. Sunrise Bungalows are the original bungalows on Lamai Beach, they're in a rainforest with squirrels and many wonderful little birds that delight and the restaurant looks directly over the beach. The staff are friendly and the Thai food, which we ate most of the time, is the best of any we tasted. The accommodation is affordable and everything we wanted. It's quirky and definitely not 5 star which made it all the better for us. Environmentally pretty sound, it's owned and managed locally, so the money stays in the country. They also have masseuses who operate next to the beach and are brilliant!Lamai beach is the best beach and not so full of tourists, and the water was like a pond so swimming was warm and easy. Good to watch the staff fishing at the end of the day.

We had a small and cute bungalow close to the beach. The place was kind of old therefore it was really hot inside thankfully we had AC working properly. Staff is friendly kind and available any time. Except the WiFi that isn’t stable we had a great stay at sunrise bungalow. A lot of bars, restaurants and massage around, very close to the place. They propose to rent bike for 250 baht/day, which is helpful according the price of taxis on this island. Thank you
