Nice landscaping, comfortable.

This property is close to the airport but right under a flight path. Rooms are well used but clean. Staff is polite. Breakfast was hotdog not sausage on the English breakfast and the coffee one of the worst I have had. Price was good and transport was on time. For a budget minded stay it’s not bad

The staff were good. The meals were nice in the restaurant. The beds were comfortable though small doubles. No fans in the toilet / shower. No air con or heater for that matter. Needs some maintenance. Close to airport. Not close to shopping centre you could walk to. Front room was very noisy from internal car and bike traffic. Away from the driveway was a lot quieter

Stayed 4 nights, Staff happy and polite. Food was basic, cooked but not prepared on site. The ice cream was worth having with every meal, which I did. No air conditioning. The airplane noise was not that intrusive. The pool was cleaned every day. The shower ran hot and cold when it felt like it. Overall good value for money. Would not want to stay there long term. Would I stay there next time I was in Johannesburg, I definitely would.

The staff was very helpful. I really appreciated them keeping my food items in the freezer for me.

Very close to airport, therefore noisy. That is to be expected when that close to airport.

Value for money excellent customer service and will not leave you in a lurch they do what they promise and it works! Yay!

Great, i recommend staying there

The Emerald is a beautiful, homey place and I enjoy stopping there on my frequent trips. It's affordable, and simple (no extra accessories), but I am good with that. Always very clean. They are very convenient coming from the airport on the hourly shuttle service. Being a single lady traveling alone, I would appreciate it if the door were a little stronger (no loose door knob, a sturdier lock, etc.) just for securit's sake, but otherwise I am happy with the property and services. Thank you Emerald!

The easy to find shuttle service was a real bonus for me. The food was very reasonably priced and the staff were warm and helpful. My room was clean and spacious.

It did the job, for one night before the flight. Not that suitable for a long stay.
