We stayed for a week, seems like it was a nice place years ago but is now starting to look and feel run down. Breakfast was limited. The room had lots of cracks appearing, mold in the bathroom, barely hot water.

Disappointed only because this could be even better with a couple of changes. Pool was dirty and only 2 loungers on offer. Restaurant looked great but is closed from Sunday afternoon until Tuesday - the nights we were there - which should. E made clear before you book a room. Bikes available but should be free. Terrible coffee - nespresso machine coffee available at extra cost - one expects coffee and tea making facilities to be included. Average breakfast. No one showed us the spa which we discovered on our second day But none of the facilities were on anyway. Having said that it is a beautiful hotel and very chilled.

We thought this was a nice hotel but was the most expensive we stayed in and not the best. It’s a fair way from Mendoza but within good reach of some lovely vineyards.

We stayed here as we were visiting several vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco. The property itself is beautiful, very quiet and serene. Our room overlooked the garden which is amazing. Some of the facilities need some work though (e.g., the jacuzzi did not work, parts of the building need paint etc). From what we searched beforehand and what we saw when we visited the area, this was the least expensive place to stay outside the city of Mendoza and closer to the vineyards. The staff is incredibly friendly; breakfast is nice too. If you plan to spend the day out visiting the wine country and eating at the wonderful restaurants in the Mendoza area, you should def take a look at Casa la Galeana given its price point and good location. Not the best place to go if you are looking for a spa, but otherwise highly recomended.

Casa de Galeana, outside Mendoza, Argentina, provided us one of the most memorable and pleasant stays we've ever experienced! Those are strong words, and I'm not one who exaggerates or flatters, so you can take my report at face value. A converted, Spanish-style hacienda, this small inn is rather a bed-and-breakfast place.Hidden from the world by a tall wall, it has been recently overhauled. Throughout the house are architectural surprises that make the place truly breathtaking and memorable. The former owner's collection of Gaucho-related artifacts (Gauchos are Argentine cowboys) mostly silver, leather and bone, are displayed for guests to enjoy -- some right out in the open in your room, others literally beneath your feet under thick glass. We didn't get to try the restaurant, but we heard around the village of Chacras that it was wonderful. The free breakfast was great, if all cold items. They tried their best to provide whatever we wanted. The receptionists, especially Pamela, bent over backwards to serve and to provide a wonderful stay. She even arranged delivery of fresh empanadas for us from a bakery down the street! On our final morning we needed to leave around 3:30 a.m. A staff member actually got up before us to provide us coffee and a light snack to travel on! They will arrange your travel from the Mendoza airport if you need it. The casa provides a spa, pool, hot tub, beautiful and relaxing grounds, and trees filled with happy, green parrots. THANK YOU!!!

Very quiet, beautiful building with character and a lot of security including a remote control main gate, surrounded by high walls. All the rooms are located on the ground floor. Nice manicured ground, outdoor swimming pool, massages available, sauna, Jacuzzi and restaurant. Included with the price of the room some respectable choice of breakfast items;but eggs cook to order are extra. We had a very spacious extra large room and bathroom, a patio furnished with garden lounging chairs and cocktail table overlooking a pleasant peaceful corner of the garden. The staff at the front desk speak English and was very helpful helping us discover this beautiful part of Argentina.

The grounds of this boutique Hotel are amazing. There are several outdoor spaces that cater to only a handful of clients. It is therefore easy to find a different corner and a slightly different setting to sit back, read a book or chat and relax. The decor is simple but elegant, visually intriguing at times with antique or unique pieces of furniture and a touch of nastalgia and history mixed in. I think paintings and art pieces feature local or ethnic artists ? The staff is helpful but discreet. Great gem in this otherwise less than attractive neighbourhood.

The service was impeccable. The house was cosy and charming. The room was comfortable and I slept like a baby every night. The staff is very welcoming, and supportive. We got there without any agenda, and with their help and knowledge of the place, quickly got hands on and got us covered... from itinerary to reservations. The area is beautiful, and breakfast is delicious. I strongly recommend this place if you want to experience Mendoza on the country side. You will not by disappointed. It also counts with nice restaurants in the area, plus very close to several of the major wine houses.

This is a beautiful small hotel with an excellent staff. We enjoyed the many amenities the hotel has to offer. Breakfasts were made to order. Located in the heart of the lujan wine region.

This review would be different if this hotel had been rated and priced accurately. The hotel is situated on a beautiful property with a lovely garden and common areas. The rooms are very utilitarian and need updating. We would give the property 4 stars but the rooms 2.5 stars. There needs to be more than one front desk person. They were always too busy without adequate backup support. The Wifi works well but the hotel has other technology challenges: The alarm went off in the middle of the night and no one was around to turn it off. When we would dial the front desk, the telephone in the room next door would ring. The walls are paper thin so we could hear all of the babies crying and all of the doors closing. The breakfast was very nice and the personnel friendly. We were also presented with a glass of wine and cheese plate on arrival which was a nice touch. However, please note that the main restaurant (Mara) on this property is not part of the hotel and the food and service is HORRIBLE! It looks beautiful but the food was absolutely disgusting. This place has so much upside, but they need to renovate the rooms to justify what they are charging. We regret not staying in Mendoza for our entire stay as it is only 20 minutes away.

Facility was beautiful. Room was great. Staff was nice and helpful. My only issue was location—taxis are a problem bc you’re in a low traffic area, and walks to the village are long...too long for after dinner, when taxis are also problem. So I highly recommend if you have a car or a good sized group, but without either it was tough.
