Very comfortable. Friendly management

The property managers, Ed and May, are very welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was very clean and well equiped with everything you need. The location is perfect, but you do need transport, with shops nearby and the beach across the road. There were markets at the beach on the Saturday with local crafts so a nice touch. A relaxing place to stay so if you are looking for a rowdy weekend this is not for you and for good reason. Highly recommend as a place to stay.

Very friendly manager …rooms were very clean…excellent shower and comfortable bed, cooking facilities were very good…walking path out front, close to a beach, highly recommended.

The York is perfectly located on the beachfront at Yorkeys Knob and east walking distance to supermarket and cafes. Yorkeys Knob is much quieter than Trinity Beach or Palm Cove so the choice of dine out options without a car is limited but this also means it is not busy. Our apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable however the decor was a little dated. The grounds including the large pool are very well maintained and the on-site managers were very helpful. I would stay here again.

Great place to stay and very comfortable - had everything we needed. Nice and handy to everything we wanted to do but just out of the City which was great.

I enjoyed my stay but didn't get any advance communication about the check-in until the morning of, which I didn't see, and they seemed a bit annoyed when I arrived at 6pm - mentioned they were waiting for me as I hadn't responded. Unit had everything I needed, but some kitchen stuff seemed old and a bit grimy. Unit is a bit dated, but had everything I needed and priced well. There is no real ocean view as it's completely blocked by trees, so just be aware. That said, it is right across the street from the ocean/beach, so nice for walks, etc.

Beautiful gardens, lovely and helpful hosts.

Quiet, stylish, perfectly located, comfortable and the staff were nice. The bed rolled a bit on its wheels but otherwise everything else was perfect. Room had a DVD player which was a nice touch.

The only thing was the poor internet service. The apartment had everything we needed.

The property was in a lovely location but a bit rundown though the new managers were making repairs. I would say it will be wonderful once they have it all done

A great property in a quiet location. We had a spacious one bedroom apartment. The balcony was a quiet spot to enjoy the sights and calmness of Yorkey's knob.

Our room needed a serious update. The lounge and bedroom furniture were very uncomfortable. The bedroom was quite hot at night even with the fan and aircon going. The robe was small and inadaquate for extended stays, as were the kitchen cupboards. We got limited to no phone reception in our room. In our two week stay the sheets and towels were changed however there was no other housekeeping done. Numerous other problems that were not up to a satisfactory standard.

Floor was very dirty and small bugs in kitchen. Maybe because it is in the tropics. Great area. Staff friendly

We stayed for a month and didn't rent a car, so the bus stop across the street is extremely convenient. The system is easy to navigate, so we were able to get everywhere but come home to a quiet spot on the beach. We loved our balcony, ate most of our meals there, and enjoyed the beautiful trees and birds.

The setting was beautiful, immaculate gardens with several different palms and under planting. The accommodation was spacious with a generous balcony and kitchen which has more than expected in it. The beach was just across the road and never crowded even over the bank holiday.

Used it as a base while visiting Cairns - mostly catching up with friends. Convenient, quiet location
