We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Beautiful location right by the water. Great view and an excellent buffets (breakfast and dinner). Friendly and helpful staff. We loved the sauna and being able to jump into the nearby water. Easy to take public transportations. Take the boat out from Stockholm city if you can. Only a 1 h ride. Going back with the "blue train" and bus (or just bus) also works well, even now during the track renovations. Everything was above expectations! We would love to come back! Highly recommend this place!

Trevlig personal. Stimmigt receptionsområde. Bra restaurang men rummet var trist - beige så att säga. Funktionsanpassat men luktade mediciner och hade inget inbjudande i varken färg, konst eller dekoration. Kändes mer som ett vandrarhem än ett hotell.

Loved going from the sauna into the sea, and very good dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been to! The property is stunning - right up against the water with the most magnificent views. The food is excellent, service is great, and Var Gård creates truly such a special experience for your time there.

The staff went above and beyond to help my family and I during a very difficult time. They were kind, compassionate, supportive and became an extension to our family. The staff at Var Gard are exceptional

Comfortable beds

The hotel is ideal for relaxing by the sea. The buildings are smart and enhanced with artworks. The villa and dining room are lovely, with views over the water. Food was a good standard. The bedroom was the weakest part - rather ordinary, and located in barracks around the grounds. Great value overall.

Beautiful location!

Great and relaxing stay. Wish I had extra time in the morning to enjoy there deck and my coffee. But had to leave early for airport drop off. Also, the young gal working that morning was great! I was early, but said I could grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the deck. Explained I had to drop off rental car in a few hours and allowed me to eat my breakfast a little earlier and prior to official opening. Great customer service.

This is probably the best hotel we have stayed so far. The facilities are gorgeous, the location amazing and the staff super polite and friendly.

The scenery around the hotel is beautiful and our room was very comfortable, the staff were very helpful and we would recommend the Var Gard Hotel.

Great property. On a convenient bus line to centre of Stockholm. Quint area. If you don’t want to stay in the city. This quiet area is perfect.

The hotel was without a doubt a conference hotel, which was particularly geared to their conference guests rather than individuals.

Loved our stay here. One of the few hotels worldwide i would reyirn to.

Beautiful place

The property is beautiful, parts of the building are very old and the new areas have a stylish modern feel. The rooms are very comfortable and well laid out. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was something else.

This is a beautiful place with awesome staff. We enjoyed walks along the water, around the main building enjoying the amazing art, and just finding a spot to relax take in the view. Our rooms was a little small, and there was no pool in the spa. However, we had great stay and plan to return one day.

Beautiful location. Staff was very helpful. You should know that this is not your usual hotel. It is like a college campus with "dorms" where the rooms are separate from main building. It is used mainly for conferences. Main issue was wifi did not work in the building where our room was. Rooms are small - no closets, bureaus - but comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding and we ate on the patio overlooking the water. All in all I would stay there again - despite the wifi issue

The hotel itself feels very business style. We stayed at the Love Suite which is outside from the main building like on its own cottage. It has an impressive view and is cozy. Since it's a suite and is the best room of the hotel, some little details were missing: - Some bath salts to use on the very nice bathtub - Better reception snacks (maybe some cheese and jam, olives, chocolate) - There's a 3 chubby men sculpture which is blocking a bit the view, should be removed. - Since the bed is huge and very very comfortable and cozy, inviting you to drink some tea, have breakfast, etc, it makes it a bit uncomfortable to do so since it does not have some trays.

The staff here is amazing. They are very friendly and attentive and offer tremendous service. Thank you! We loved our visit and look forward to returning soon!
