Room was comfortable. Hotel needs to invest in pillows. I am glad they were able to accommodate the extra person we brought. Breakfast is really good. Location is in the middle of the city key points. Too bad: croackroaches infestation on our last day/night. Our party of 5 had to be moved to new rooms. This left a bad impression.

San Diego Express Palmares is a new hotel which was built mainly for start operations during the world cup. I arrived at July 6th and was worried about the hotel (there were some bad reviews of June on some sites) but fortunately everything was great. Staff was very kind and helpful and they hired people who talk in both English and Spanish. Room was comfortable with a nice flat TV and hot water. I totally recommend it since the hotel's area is quiet and safe too, near a big mall (Minas Shopping) in case you want to buy something. Nice experience definitely!

We stayed there late June 2014 and it was apparently still in the process of being built for the World Cup. Our room had no mirror and no storage space and the door fit badly. Staff was eager but very inexperienced. Breakfast was good, as was the wi-fi.
