I thought the hotel was very well located because it had a lot of transport links around and you can easily walk to the city centre. the light in the bathroom comes on automatically but then turns off in the next 15 seconds which can be inconvenient. also, in the bathroom, it says that if we leave the towels hanging then we will keep them for the next day. I came back to the room, all the towels had been folded so I did not know whose towel was whose anymore and also there were no hand towels or bath mats the next day but we had at least 6 big towels but there was only 2 of us. I think this aspect can definitely be improved. There was also no shelves or cupboard to put clothes away, only a few hanger and coat hooks and the back of the door.

This property was lovely, clean and a great location. The owners went above and beyond to make our 5 night stay excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Not only was the property lovely and just as advertised, the staff went above and beyond to be helpful. For example, when we arrived Amsterdam was having a heatwave and our room was quite warm and uncomfortable, so the next morning they moved us to a different room where we were much more comfortable. Also, as we had several rooms for our large party and two small children, they gave our son, wife and two kids the largest room, and had two baby beds already set up when we arrived. Bottom line...we absolutely would stay here again and will tell people about our great experience. Thank you Golden Mansion for a wonderful, comfortable stay while in Amsterdam.

Amazing experience from begining to end. Great central location, great apartment with 24 HR reception. The reception staff are truly amazing especially Saskia on the desk - was so helpful and accommodating - it was a warm clean apartment with everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and would like to thank Golden Mansions apartment for helping to make our stay in Amsterdam so wonderful! Thank you!

Love this place. 24/7 assistance is on site. Convenient. I’ve stayed here 2 times now and they’ve always treated me with respect and kindness. I’ll definitely be coming back and staying here.

This was a great alternative to a hotel. Great location. Administration and staffing felt a little chaotic but altogether a positive experience

The good news is that except for a rude and unhelpful man at the front desk, the staff was as helpful as possible, given the limitations of the property. And the location is excellent, steps away from tram lines and an easy walk to the city's magnificent museums and concert hall. The bad news--and there's quite a bit of it-- is that this is a terribly uncomfortable property, furnished more like a college dorm than a three-star hotel (as it bills itself) with no lift, no air conditioning, no breakfast and no screens in the windows to keep out the mosquitos. Climbing up to our "suite" on the third floor provided us with our daily work-out, and our bedroom accommodations--a claustrophobic sleeping loft--required additional trips up and down rickety ladder-like stairs with only a single handrail. All in all, prospective guests should be aware that they are signing up for a very spartan (but nonetheless expensive) hotel experience.

The property is in a good condition. The employees are amazingly helpful and friendly. I think the only problem was the cleaning. I understand that it’s a busy aparthotel so it might be difficult to clean fast before the guests arrive. But there was long, black woman hair on my pillow as well as dirts on the floor. Other than that I would definitely come back and stay here again.

I stayed in room 12. Nice for 2 people not for 4. Good heated system. The suppletory bed (couch) was comfy. What isn't good is the pillows, I asked for a flat pillow because the one we had was extra high but unfortunately they have only this kind of high, hard pillows. There was a window in the bedroom in the ceiling. The system to open the curtain didn't work or the receptionist didn't know how to use it. No toaster in the kitchen appliances. Very limited kitchen stuff to use properly in the kitchen. I couldn't close the couch during the day so the space for 4 adults inside the living room area was small. Not enough space to leave the hand luggage (we didn't have suitcases). No space for the raincoats for 4 people (the wardrobe is small)... Some switches were not working properly. Some lights were broken or not working. Very noisy room. The main door of the hotel doesn't close properly so everyone has to slap very strong the door to close it so they make noise all day and night. Please fix that problem urgently. They didn't replace coffee or tea bags during our 4-day stay. No shampoo, only a bottle of gel in the shower for body and hair (no good quality). The location was good.

Golden mansion was another hotel I stayed in during my 21 day backpacking trip. I was new to Amsterdam and the staff were very accommodating, helpful and quite nice. The room satisfied our needs to excess. Everything was diligently cleaned prior to our stay. Kitchen accommodations came in nicely once we found a Lidl just down the street. I’d be happy to stay here again!

On arrival our sofa bed was broken, and was so complicated that even if it werent broken, trying to change it from a bed to a sofa during the day wouldve been unmanagable. the handsanitizer station at the bottom of the stairs was always empty. Great location for getting around.

We booked with my partner an early Valentine’s Day stay, it was meant to be studio apartment with separate living space, double bed and full size fridge. We wanted to cater for ourselves. Instead, we got a tiny standard room, with two single beds pushed together, broken toilet, dishwasher and hob extractor and no space to move about. I went downstairs to complain and was told there were no rooms available for that night... so we were forced to stay there! We were moved the following day but still that pretty much ruined the first day of us being in there! All I can say, avoid room 14!
