Clean but meal quality was inconsistent and wi-fi was terrible. Bistro was like school camp with adults rationed and no seconds offered. Front bbq restaurant was excellent.

Friendly staffs. No park in front of my room as I was told. The room doesn't have a TV, minibar and also is really warm. It most likely a Hostel instead Hotel.

The foods and the ski hire basically saved the whole hotel. The people at the reception didn’t do anything to help us and clearly expressed they didn’t want to involve in anything more complicated than showing us the dining hall. 1. Transportation: we asked if they can assist us in booking a transportation to the airport. They immediately refused, “We don’t do that here” even after we explained the mobile service didn’t work in the area, and after acknowledging that they still replied, “You can go up to Perisher”. We also told them we didn’t drive they said they didn’t do that here. 2. I have a small wound that needed to be cleansed so we asked if they have a first aid kit or help us in some way. Both of them replied, “We have the kit but we’re not allowed to give you anything.” and offered no further explanation. A young staff told us to go to the pharmacy in town and again we said we didn’t have a car and it’s already 8PM so no shuttle to Perisher. She repeated, “Oh ok we are not allowed to give you anything” 3. We needed to cash out and fully understand the maximum is $100/time/person. So we, a group of 5 adults with 5 cards, asked if we could cash out $300, they refused, “We can’t let you do that”. So we couldn’t even get $100. Even the drivers were more helpful to us. We never asked for anything out of order or illegal but they treated us as if we violated some laws. Is this racist, because I saw them help other families, or simply unhelpful, we never know?

We enjoyed the atmosphere in the grill lounge, the grill was very tasty, the buffet was adequate. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were disappointed in the quality of the beds and bedding, they were very tiered and the mattresses need urgent replacement. Overall it’s a very handy location, free internet would be appreciated. Expensive for what you get.

Price was reasonable. The distance to the ski field was great. Food was basic but good. Ski hire was great although the wait in the mornings can be a bit long. Rooms were basic but comfortable they could do with better mattresses and there are no TV's in the rooms which is a bummer for those wanting a quiet night in. Phone reception was really bad.

Convenient location with free shuttle bus to Perisher and Smiggins, on-site parking (have to pay national park fee). Breakfast and dinners included, food quality wasn't bad. Rooms are clean and comfortable but very basic. No TV, fridge or wifi.

Meals are bottom end of the food chain, however very conveniently located close to slopes and free shuttle bus are a plus. Nice communal area with bar, pool table etc.

Although it hasn't changed much since I first went there 30yrs ago, the Ski Rider's half board has great food in Guppies Grill (where the food is quality and the serving sizes are generous) and a friendly atmosphere. Be prepared to share your stay with school groups, and the lack of TVs can be a little frustrating when you have tired kids. Convenient location means that whilst you still get some snow, your car is not going to get snowed in.

Close to snow and with free ski shuttle the Ski Rider does the job, not more not less. Rooms are on the Spartan side without TVs, cruise ship sized bathrooms and beds that are more hostel than hotel. Food is similar, it will get you fed without any pretense of 5* restaurant. That aside Ski Rider is a perfectly fine choice for those wanting easy access to Perisher.

I am a convert! After studying at a dozen different places in Perisher over the years, this is the only place I'll go back to. Shuttle bus, nightly entertainment, fabulous food and great friendly efficient service!

Brilliant. For the price i will recommend this hotel to anyone. Close to the ski fields, good staff attitude, good food, clean room, clean atmosphere. Staff prepared a lovely chocolate cake for my brothers birthday and sung him happy birthday over dinner. Will definitely return.
