We booked the comfort double room ensuite, it was ok, but it was not spacious. The shower was a corner one, I’m only 5’4” and slim and felt it was ‘cosy’, not easy to turn around in, from photos I was expecting a walk-in shower. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff were helpful. The hotel is in a quiet area, we needed a good sleep after a long day. As I don’t eat spicy food we went along the road to an Italian restaurant which was recommended and very good. There’s also a pub nearby which serves food.

This hotel was really competitively priced so it was a no brainer. However we didn’t expect it to be as nice as it was. The grounds around the hotel are lovely, the planting of roses everywhere was very dramatic. Our four poster bedroom was very comfortable. The floorboards are very creaky but that’s a small price to pay. We had breakfast and an evening meal in the restaurant chilli’s, and I couldn’t recommend this enough, the Mexican evening meal was exceptional. Would return in a heartbeat!

Staffs were so nice and there is parking on the back, which is very useful.

This is a basic facility hotel, which in fairness offers reasonable value for money. Rooms are small and noise disturbance from adjoining rooms is a problem. Bed was comfortable but room cleaning needs better attention. Food was good and this is a nice venue for a function.

This was an excellent stay. I was made to feel truly welcome throughout and the staff really did go above and beyond. It was refreshing to stay in an independent hotel and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely staff and a seamless registration process. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. It was nice, and unusual, to have enough tea, coffee and milk in the room to avoid the embarrassment of asking for more!
