Great stylish hotels, super nice staff, and very good food by islandic standards. The proxomity to the geothermal power plant next door iw certainly interesting and representative for Iceland. It can however alsonlead to some srong sulfur smell. Not for everyone.

Amazing location for northern lights. Very strong sulfur smell due to steam plant but totally expected. Wake up calls for the northern lights. Modern hotel with great amenities. Breakfast was amazing.

A lovely hotel in wild, tranquil surroundings. Food was excellent, albeit a limited choice. For a holiday hotel, breakfast finishing at 10.00. was annoying, especially on weekends. Bed and room were small but comfortable and had most everything you needed, except tissues. On the downside, the lighting throughout the hotel is dreadful, especially the restaurant, but there is absolutely nowhere where you can sit and read, even in the bedrooms.. Similarly, for a hotel like this not to have a fireplace of any sort to sit by was also a great shame.

Property is stunning and the on site thermal pool was great! Also dark enough that we got to see northern lights. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Right in the Golden circle area so very convenient for seeing the major sites in this part of Iceland. Only complaint is that breakfast for roughly $40pp looked very basic for the price- just some pre prepared eggs so we decided to skip it

The hotel is very isolated and travel on the roads around the hotel was difficult in the weather conditions. The room was fantastic but the curtains didn't cover the windows, with people out walking was a bit of a privacy concern. The geothermal pool and sauna were really good and great to relax in after a day of sightseeing. Food offering was limited which with no real option to eat away from the hotel was frustrating but the food we had was high standard.

Entire experience was fantastic, great food, wonderful staff, nice hot springs, remote location with fabulous scenery and hiking, yet not far from Reykjavik. There were many positives about this very special and unique place, will definitely return in the future if possible.

A very unique experience. Not only is the hotel beautiful and secluded but the plant and hikes around the thermal landscape were incredible. Will always remember this place.

The perk is the staff. I do not recollect her name ( shame on me ) but the kind lady at the front desk called each one of us when the northern lights appeared .

Great property. Unigue architecture. Nice thermal pool to soak. Breakfast not included is a downside when other hotels in the area offer, especially with no food options available. It is a remote location. Beautiful.
