A great property at a fantastic location, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint, which is bias is that I felt the pictures were a little misleading with the size of the room.

Excellent area

I love the fact that my room was so quiet. Everything about my stay was perfect. The buffet breakfast and staff were out of this world, and the people working the desk could not have been nicer about trying to get me into my room earlier than the usual check-in time, because I had been on an early flight and was exhausted.

Great location, excellent helpful staff.

The staff at Apotek were friendly, professional and helpful answering questions. The room had a wonderful view over Parlament Square. However, late evenings during June saw many people celebrating throughout tje midnight sun. A room facing the opposite side of the hotel might be less noisy. The breakfast offerings were very good along with the staff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Apotek again.

Great staff and great location

Apotek Hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area of Reykjavik. The entire staff is completely amazing; they provided helpful information regarding the sites, transportation and parking (there isn't any parking on-site). I chose the single room and was taken a bit off-guard by the small size of the room, given that the price was somewhat high. Though the shower was more than adequate (spectacular, really), the bed was situated directly next to the window and the drapes. The issue is that when sleeping, if you are a person who does not lay still while sleeping, you encounter the very real possibility of rolling against the drapes. During the spring and summer months, when the sun chooses to not actually go down at all, that is certainly problematic. I woke myself up a few times because the drapes happened to part slightly and the oh-so-bright sunlight (even at 0200) was not so kind to my sleeping self. I did dine at the hotel restaurant for dinner one night, and the staff there was also quite spectacular. Overall, this hotel is fantastic, with the only real issue being the proximity of the bed to the drapes.

The lady was so helpful giving us a lot of ideas to do in the city she was so kind and helpful! The room always amazing the place very nice and walkable to everything! So happy we book that hotel

Beautiful building, some very quaint features, lovely rooms & conveniently located. The staff are super friendly, efficient and attentive, they also have great tips if you’re exploring the city or further afield.

I stayed at Apotek for 5 days and 4 nights. It was an amazing stay. The area is very walkable and easily accessible by the bus terminal. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning, and staying here again.

The guest check in agents were great: Daniel, Louis and Hendrick plus I think Annette. They were very helpful, thoughtful(my visit included my birthday~yay!) and a thoughtful bottle of red wine was gifted-classey. Our room was lovely, clean and housekeeping did a great job too. Thank you for a lovely stay; I am definitely recommending your hotels especially The Apotek to friends who are coming to Iceland.
