Staff good my car was hit on property

I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities in my room as well as its absolute cleanliness! As with older, inexpensive properties, the exterior showed wear but it seemed that necessary issues were handled. "Breakfast included" was very minimal, but for the price of a stay, not important to me. Desk staff was friendly and efficient.

Bed comfortable, room clean, a/c unit sounds like it’s going to blow up. WiFi is not that great. For over night it would be ok. For work trip not so great

They need to have ground level choices for older folks like us. No elevator. When I asked the clerk said that's all he had. If we could have had a refund, we would have driven further. We managed it but it wasn't easy. Morning staff much better than evening.

Too much train noise.

I sent a text response on 6/11/25 to Red Roof Inn Gallup that I was unable to make the trip but had no response. I am 80 and the drive would have been more than I could handle.

Although I appreciate the comfortable bed, shower to bathe and air conditioner for the heat, it is abundantly clear the owner of this hotel is in financial stress, has management issues or just doesn't care. The shower has cracked caulking, unfinished painting (white drywall spray instead of the red paint) of the wall after repairs done, shower fixture separated from the wall, baseboard caulking cracked open, walls and ceiling painted with different colors and sheen of paint, pool was empty of water, breakfast was carbohydrates only, coffee was watered down, sticky syrup on the table from previous guests (staff standing there, oblivious to this). The tap water in the room smells like sewage, with in-room coffee maker on counter without bottled water to use. The roof of the hotel is a faded orange, not red. One begins to wonder why the name "Red Roof Inn". No, we won't be staying at this hotel chain again.

Nice, clean room. Had to carry our bags up stairs (was there an elevator?). Carb-loaded breakfast with bad coffee. I'd rather pay a little more and stay at Days Inn and Suites, though.
