Great location. Napier is a very interesting place. Well worth the a visit. Very clean and tidy property.

The balcony was still dirty after we told the hotel to clean as we want to use in the next morning , they only remove the cardboard but did not clean the place, extremely disappointed.

The place was what we needed for a weekend of activities. If we were at the motel more then the lack of privacy between the master bedroom and the kids in the lounge would have been an issue. But since we were there to sleep it was fine. We did have dinner there one night and the kitchenette had everything we needed. Cooktop, electric frypan, kettle, toaster, microwave. Even had pots, Pyrex bowl for cooking with. If you care about the decor of a place then you are likely to find it ‘dated’. But I found the beds comfy, the room warm, the shower pressure amazing and plenty of hot water. Spa bath was great, although strange to have no privacy from bedroom or even the kids. Room was clean and they came each day to fix up. We had a city view but were on the bottom floor so you don’t view anything apart from your car, but again, we didn’t care. It’s close to everything and the walkway was just over the road to start our bike trips. There is issues with condensation on the windows/doors if it’s cold outside which maybe causes a little mould. Would stay again for sure.

On morning of arrival day, informed that our room not available due to a fire. Was offered a replacement room with a city view when we had booked an ocean view. Stated we wanted a discount or an ocean view room and eventually given an ocean view room in the Shoreline Motel next door. Spa bath leaked onto floor from underneath, making carpet wet. Reception staff informed but reacted as if they already knew about the problem.

Clean, good location and easy parking!

There was a fire and we had no hot water and weren't told till less than 24 hours before check-in. But stuff gave us another room for showering. Clean an tidy room lovely staff. Facilities are adequate if a little tired and need some work.

Good clean facilities ,TV easy to operate and staff helpful and obliging.Would stay there again.

Unobstructed Beach View

Room is very tired. Toilet not functioning properly and damage to the door. During our stay the roof of the building caught fire and we were transferred to another room. Several walls had ripped or missing wallpaper and lock on door did not function properly. Generally needs a tidy up with maintenance.

Spa pool is awesome

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was exceptionally hygienic, with spotless surfaces, fresh linens, and a well-maintained bathroom. It was clear that cleanliness is a top priority here. What impressed me even more was the professionalism and hygiene of the staff. They were not only courteous and helpful but also consistently followed hygiene protocols, which made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean and well-managed place to stay.

Nice view of the park & ocean from the room & balcony , well appointed, comfortable bed although low. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great property that needs a bit of maintence.Wall paper peeling off in places and paper and rubbish at front sliding door to beachfront. It was comfortable ,just needs a bit of extra care.

I have stayed there often. The Management are very accommodating. My grandchildren live in Hawkes Bay so I often stay there with them. They have been so helpful with having an extra child, and last time allowing my sister and I to book in early as flights had been altered and it was tiring and stressful for us. Highly recommend and has become my 'go to' motel when having the kids.

Spa poil in the room

The location of the hotel is perfect — right across from the beach and ideal for watching the sunrise. The room we stayed in (Room 21) was okay overall, but it had some issues. The bathroom leaked whenever we took a shower, and the water went through the floor into the hallway carpet, leaving it completely soaked. We informed the staff, and to their credit, they did offer to move us to another room, though it felt like they were already aware of the problem. The room itself looked quite outdated. One of the sliding doors wouldn’t open and seemed stuck. On the positive side, the spa in the bedroom was a unique feature and worked well — it was our first time trying one, so that was a nice experience.
