Very clean, welcoming staff, great location, hotel perfect for short stay and lots of very local amenities

I had an amazing short stay at the hotel - the staff was so exceptionally nice and accommodating, allowing me to check-in at 11:30am already. The room was on 4th floor, inward looking, quiet and great. The location is fantastic to explore the old town and go to the beach. There are plenty of dinning places around and bars. I would highly recommend this property.

Our first impression was not good ,the receptionist was very rude and abrupt i had an invoice from Hotels.com with the information of what i had already paid which was 342€ with 342 to be paid when we che k out she said nothing had been paid and was rude because we spoke little Spanish ,the room was so small like a cell the view was the back of an ugly building with washing hanging out , the bed and pillows were good also the shower but they looked as if the decor hadn't been changed since the 70s what was supposed to be a desk was falling of the wall,as i paid 682 for 4 nights it was disappointing would never stay in this hotel again ,though i must say the other receptionist were very pleasant and helpful ,i still have not found out why my invoice says i had already paid 2 nights when the hotel says they had received nothing ,

Room is in need of some renovation.

The hotel was in a great location and the staff were terrific. The room, while small, was spotless. Would book again without hesitation.

magnifica ubicacion, nos ha encantado, volveremos.

Perfect location with underground secure parking (€13 per night). Steps away from bars and restaurants. Lovely breakfast. I had an issue with my motorcycle and needed to stay another couple of nights and they sorted it out for me even though they were showing as full. Fantastic hotel team.

Hotel viejo…. Baño sin remodelar y viejo con bañera sin plato ducha. Solo las puertas de las habitaciones son nuevas. PARKING, DENIGRANTE y CARÍSIMO!! hotel en un callejón sin salida, tienes que maniobrar al extremo imposible para meter el coche en un ascensor, bajar al subterráneo y al llegar recular marcha atrás sin espacio, pretender meter el coche a lo imposible en un espacio súper reducido, topando con pared, coche vecino, etc…. están todas las esquinas y paredes con Ralladuras …. ofrecen 8 plazas de parking, cuando solo tendrían que tener oficialmente 3….no abusar de querer facturar a costa del cliente….si tienes que estar varios días, quien aguanta este CIRCO que te cobran por Día 13 EUROS, encima…si lo que apetece es no mover el coche….yo al segundo día aparque el coche en la calle, sale más barato y práctico…. Creo que debería tener una inspección, para poner este Hotel a 2 🌟🌟 NO LO RECOMIENDO!

Lovely small hotel in a great location with secure parking and breakfast included.

Excellently located hotel right in the middle of Gijon. Shops, bars and restaurants are all within easy reach. However the hotel is on a pedestrianised area so it's nice and quiet. My room was very good and modern. Staff were helpful and friendly when needed. There was a good selection at breakfast. Overall a good place to stay. My only observation was that the name "Santa Rosa" wasn't very prominent outside and it could do with a bigger clearer sign instead on the "blues" name.

The hotel advertised air conditioning. The front desk did change my room from the 4th floor which was really hot to a room with windows that opened on the 3rd floor. That led to mosquitoes coming in at night and receiving multiple bites. I got zero sleep the first night. The front desk gave me a plug in mosquito repellent for the room which did help. The air conditioning does not get turned on until June, so be aware. The building was hot and it was cool outside. 15 Celsius. . If you like climate control, wait until June or check directly with the hotel. The staff was helpful and courteous. The hotels A/C policy is the issue.
