My room was booked with 2 breakfasts (room with two double beds) included, however, when I invited some for a breakfast meeting the morning I was supposed to check out, I was advised that my room has only one free breakfast since I was the only one checked-in to the hotel, unless I take my guest for a registration at the front desk. I was happy to do that but when I went down to the front desk, the staff told me that he was unable to registers my guest since it was my check out date.
Later, he wanted me to sign the bill at breakfast first, which goes to my room charge, and he was confident that the bill can be taken care of at check out.
After breakfast when I was checking out, another staff helped me and refused to waive the bill even after speaking with the staff that told me to sign the bill. I was very confused by the situation, and with a flight to catch, I did not choose to argue further.
I just could not understand why would a hotel makes the breakfast situation so complicated when a room already comes with two breakfasts, as well as the lack of commutation between staff and lack of willingness to solve problem for guest.
