Very poor quality breakfast, only one small of coffee included, extra at usd$1.75 ea., very slow service. No laundry facilities, bad when i planned this hotel for that purpose. Nice gardens and pool but the rest of the facility is old. Only 8-minute walk to lots of restaurants.

Rooms are very tiny, and dirty (stuck chewing gum on tables was totally visible but was not bothered to be cleaned. Bad and extremely poor quality of linens and soap. Although breakfast was included, but only 1 small cup of coffee was given and no refills, ran out of bread on breakfast with no apologies. The lady Manager was very unwelcoming. The only person that stood out was Emelee who at least smiled & was very helpful. The restaurant hours were clearly displayed open till 9 pm but when we arrived for dinner all the reception n restaurant was closed (apparently they close at 7 pm)

Rooms are looking very sad, they are clean but sheets are very thin and the beds are not comfortable.

Gorgeous gardens, poor areas, fountains, gazebo, restaurant, hotel, rooms, and furnishings! The food and cafe were excellent; the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and ready to help with anything needed. My only suggestion is that black-out curtains be added to suite #1.

Hotel overview was beautiful outside landscape. Rooms where clean and small for the price. Amazing view of the mountains. Complementary breakfast was poor. Only 3 choices and you had to paid extra for coffe refills or any drinks. Management need improvement. Restaurant only open until 1pm . Peruvian food is their forte.

A charming older hotel in a a beautiful environment. The hotel is a bit frayed around the edges, with minor things that need repair. The staff were helpful.

The only good thing of the hotel is the scenery. Other than that it fails on several items. The rooms are expensive, having to pay premium rate ($89.10 with an Expedia discount) for an 8 square meter room, poor funishing, and with a bed that barely fits. The food is supposed to be peruvian style. I've been to Peru many times, and it's definately not it, with prices that are more than 3 times what is expected (2 small entries, 1 main course, 1 soup, and 3 drinks for $78.60!!!). The complementary breakfast was not that great either. Try not to stay there unless you have no other options.

We loved our stay here! There was hardly anyone there when we stayed and I can only think it was because there weren't many reviews and it is farther from the center of town. Still within walking distance though! In my opinion, if you have a car you would much rather stay here than in town. It is peaceful and easy to relax here. The pool was nice and we loved walking through the gardens.

I really liked that is away from everything... it feels really private... very natural surrounded, nice touch with the flora around. what I didn’t like was that the lights on the hall are too bright at night to sleep. They should get some blackout curtains for that matter.

The room we originally booked was smaller and tighter than it appears in the photo, so we upgraded for an additional $100. We were the only guests for two days which was a little unnerving at first, but it was a peaceful and quiet place so it worked out nicely. Pretty well kept grounds. I don't recommend the room next to the stairs on the second floor. It was a bit noisy in the middle of the night and early morning. Not sure if we were above the back office or kitchen, but it definitely was not a guest room. Close to town and hiking the India Dormida mountain.

Miguel, reception, was very nice and helpful. He showed me to my room, how to turn on TV, A/C, lights. I enjoyed the pool and gardens. The guinea hens and birds are awake and singing way too early - 3-4am.

This place feels out in the country, yet is walking distance to downtown. We rented bikes and rode to the hotel and to town the next day, then up to the waterfalls. Bikes can get you all around.

DON'T BRING YOUR SUITCASE! You must climb about 15 narrow and steep steps outside to get to your room. We stayed in the Suite, which may have been worth half the price of $170? The grounds are pretty, but the parking is remote. Therefore, checking in and out was difficult, fortunately it wasn't raining when we checked in or out.

Nice place but overpriced. We had a suite so plenty of space. Setting was lovely and quiet. Only two choices for breakfast that was included.
