I have stayed here before and if you ignore the fact is is a converted prison it’s a very average hotel that thinks it much more. Need sound proofing between rooms.

Very interesting location and venue, superb staff make it top class.

Hotel is awesome. A former Jail that’s been converted into a five star hotel, easy walking distance to everything.

Great hotel, great service, great staff

We had an amazing stay at Het Arresthuis. The rooms were fantastic and there are brilliant touches to really make you feel caught in luxury. The staff were all so incredibly helpful. The breakfast was second to none. We could not have asked for more.

Het Arresthuis is genuinely an outstanding hotel, with an outstanding restaurant. The location is ideal both to visit the beautiful town of Roermond and for the Designer Outlet. The private parking space is a plus. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is built out of an old prison, restyled with elegance and luxury, yet maintaining and respecting some of the original details.

It was such a beautifully done hotel, we were received with some Prosecco, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had dinner at their restaurant, Damianz, which is totally recommended, it was fantastic. The hotel has a lux vibe but yet keeping it within the theme. We really really loved our stay.

Following a warm welcome at the prison, and the offer of a drink (which was enjoyed in the lovely bar area) I was shown to my cell which comprised a small seating area, sleeping area and spacious bathroom. The room is well appointed with the inclusion of the a coffee making machine, toiletries and bath robes. Following a good night's sleep in the comfy bed, the breakfast the next morning offered a choice of a la carte options along with continental selections - and was delicious. A visit to the prisoners' old gym - now a well equipped fitness room - followed to address some of the calories consumed. Whilst I didn't eat in the restaurant, the kitchens looked superb and the menu offering is very much in the high end. A stay at Het Arresthuis provides a quirky yet luxurious stay, with the hotel well positioned in the historic centre of the lovely city of Roermond. I would certainly stay again.

Excellent hotel, very clean and good breakfast. Only downside was glass door into toilet and bathroom. Should be opaque for privacy.

Our second time at this hotel and it’s great. The rooms are amazing, the hotel is unique and our 2 French bulldogs love the cooling floor in the room. Definitely coming back

It was great to be arrested! A jail transformed into gorgeous looking hotel with friendly staffs. Loved it!

Check was fast, friendly and a complimentary glass of bubbles. Offered assistance with bags and was a great welcome. Room service is *terrible* though. A few small items with a €7,50 delivery fee! They seem to be focussing their restaurant on achieving a Michelin Star, rather than keeping hotel guests happy. Room was spotless, but TV was way too small. Wifi was utterly terrible (less than 2Mb) and the basin in the room needed some TLC (was clean, but marked/stained and looked a little shabby). Shower was great and air conditioning was good.

Great building - they have refurbished the old prison in the most flattering way. The rooms are a bit strangely designed ... due to 3 cells turned into 1 room. But all is very charming, functional, cozy - the food is great, and the personnel are very friendly and helpful
