The room, a junior suite, was most comfortable but sadly lacking in air-conditioning, although the current heat wave has been exceptional. Lovely views, peaceful, apart from the noise of the butterflies, all that one could wish for. For the price the owners may want to consider replacing the square of soap with refillable pump dispensers and providing a loo brush! We had an enjoyable dinner served by the very friendly staff and were delighted to have our breakfast served, not a buffet, toaster or coffee machine in sight. Melanie, the proprietor, was a charming host.

We really loved our 2 night stay at The View. Our room was absolutely beautiful and we had a meal in the pub on 1 night which was great too. Really recommend this place. Unfortunately we went in a heat wave and because it is south facing with a lot of glass it was extremely hot - but there was a good fan which just about made it bearable. We will definitely be back though when it isn't quite so hot !!

A return trip for us and another good stay. It was very hot (no air conditioning) but a fan was provided and the current heat is unprecedented! The food in the pub is excellent and the breakfast was great too.

Just a lovely, family owned place. Very well thought out. Great place for dinner and breakfast. Nice area to walk to the reservoir. A good spot if you’re in the Chatsworth area. Very spacious rooms, great value, very clean!

Great little Gem hidden away but worth Finding

This was a lovely stop over with the beautiful sound of sheep in the distance and fabulous views . Hosts were great.

A odd little hotel in the middle of nowhere. The rooms were new, very large with a small living room and very clean and would be very good for families. It is reasonably priced. The staff are excellent and very kind, the food in the restaurant is OK, thus the 4 stars.

Excellent dinner in the restaurant and a great breakfast the following morning. Comfortable room with everything you need - milk in the fridge and large bath towels! Our 3rd visit.
